Leo was both Wisconsin Small School Defensive AND Offensive Player of the Year as a senior. He had 120 tackles!(7tfl) & 2038 yards rushing, 236 (pc) & 42 TDs 😂

Also, re: Travis Kelce's underperformance: I sincerely believe that defenders and DCs have been keying in on him because they don't respect Rice and Worthy, and they're following the Spags method of taking the best target away and forcing the rest to beat them. I agree that now that they know how much Rice will eat, they might shift the focus over to him more often and leave Kelce open in the middle. Plus I think he, Mahomes, and the connection they have are too good for him not to get his touches.

🤔I think Leo had the best LB coverage grade & has been the best LB, even though he plays less snaps. 🤷🏻‍♂️

He's not terrible in coverage. I think it's an area he can improve. Fans need to accept that 80% of the LBs in the NFL are liabilities in coverage. They aren't built to cover top receivers 15+ yards down the field

@@zack1610 Good points. The NFL CBA has made the first 4-5 weeks of the Reagular Season like the old Preason back in the day 🥴. Every year fans & talking heads overreact in September-October, because they do not take into account that the limitations on practices imposed by The CBA prevents players from experiencing the actual speed & violence of the game until the regular season starts. This also hinders the coaches evaluations of players, as they have not been able to evaluate them @ full speed & how the players handle contact, reaction times, tackling, play in space, etc. This is why a lot of top organizations look sloppy right NOW. It is why people speculate that great players "have lost something". We used to say during training camp, 'You can't really tell what a player is until the pads come on'...but since they are no longer able to run plays @ full speed, hit @ full speed, tackle @ full speed, etc, we really do not know exactly what a player, or a team actually may be until about October🥴

It's not just fourth down. In the last couple of years I've noticed the offensive playcalling decline a bit, and maybe that's partially because of switching out Eric Bieniemy for Matt Nagy, but there are three things that I've seen happen more than usual: Failure on 3rd or 4th and short - just run it up the gut, man. What are we doing? We have the best interior trio in the league and several dynamic playmakers. This shouldn't be so hard. Stalling out in the red zone - this one I have no reasoning behind. The red zone used to be this team's bread and butter early in the Mahomes era, even in 2022 with Kelce, McKinnon, and others. Maybe when the field gets shorter common football sense goes out the window? I don't know. And getting too cute too early - this killed multiple games last season. There is no circumstance under which we should be running the wildcat in our own territory or trying endless outside zone runs, jet sweeps, and receiver screens with poor tackle play and weapons who, by and large, aren't great at blocking. Stick to what works, and try the cutesy or deceptive plays in goal-to-go situations, late in games when you have the lead, or late in the season and postseason when you need to break out your bag of tricks to take over must-win games. I recognize that Andy Reid is one of the foremost offensive geniuses ever, but sometimes I think he forgets that simple plays can work in many scenarios, and that the best plays to call are the ones where your players get to play to their strengths, especially if they exploit defensive weaknesses in doing so. I have faith that he'll get it together, but I don't know if Nagy is the guy, as good of a relationship as he has with Andy, Pat, and Trav.

I agree with every word you said. The RedZone inefficiency is so frustrating. It's like we move the ball down the field and forget how to play inside the 20 and end up settling for field goals. We have to figure something out.

The falcons have a REALLY good, veteran secondary. And a very quality defensive line. But, i dont like their second level, the LBs.. i think Andy is going to draw up a game plan that allows mahomes to destroy the middle of the field. Id also like spags to bring the heat on kirk cousins. Chiefs win 27-20
