Maybe I'm missing something... The above link took me to the page where all the videos are (will be). I went to Joann's site, scrolled to the bottom, and found the printed pattern there. BTW I'm loving participating in my first stitch-a-long

So much fun! I’m definitely finding the waterfall stitch easier each time. I love learning a new technique. It was fantastic having this video to refer to reinforce the pattern.

Mikey I love your intro! I can’t wait to begin this blanket. I am doing an enterlac blanket! I wanted to learn that for about 2 year. I watched all your videos and the 5 pin bowling made so much sense! I am so excited to learn new stuff! Thanks so much!

Idk what I did but it looks like a spirl, I hope i can do whatever I thought you were doing, I may have come up with something lol... I have a block 5in Half one color other another and I went down through the middle to make a line instead of jagged looking and I am and super excited.. You have taught me so much in the last 2 years, if it weren't for you I would had never went past a single crochet.. thank you..

Once you get the hang of the waterfall stitch, there’s a faster way to do it, but I recommend getting used to it first. I’m loving this so far!

Yes that's right. The diagram is right. I followed the diagram in this.

Okay I have been working on this and am wondering if there is a difference in the direction you wrap the yarn. That seems to be the most difficult thing for me. Might be a silly question.
@TheCrochetCrowd2 жыл бұрын
Wrapping the opposite direction will tighten up the stitch. Try it. You may like it better.

I’ve been using a 5 mm hook for the first week of this project, I’m wondering if a 5.5 mm hook would be ok to use for the waterfall stitches because that’s the only Afghan hook size I have ? And the only other hooks have are the comfort grip kind

I am loving the waterfall stitch... but the waterfall is not liking my fingers, hands, wrists, arms, elbows, and shoulders! YIKES.... arthritis is super bad with this stitch. Just finished the waterfall... and working on the sc, dc, sc, dc, sc ending rows. BUT... I am not going to quit. I will keep on keeping on.

There are several mistakes in the written pattern regarding the beginning and ending of rows 7 and 8. The number of double crochets mentioned are not correct.
@TheCrochetCrowd2 жыл бұрын
It's been corrected. If you look at the video description, the latest PDF is available and I posted a new link for it in the article. Good eye, you caught this now. Week 2, 3 and 4 were revised and the latest PDF is available with changes.

Hi Mikey. there seems to be a discrepancy in the pattern. It reads "to the last 3sc. turn". I don't have 6 sc left???
@TheCrochetCrowd2 жыл бұрын
Just follow the graph. Pattern was updated last Friday. New revision has that fixed.

Mikey I really love your intro! I can’t wait to begin this blanket. I want to share this with you…..I have been struggling with a new stitch…for years I tried and failed miserably…a week ago I watched your toot on doing enterlac crochet 🧶 and when you explained the 5 pin bowling…light bulb moment! When I finished that one and my yarn gets in for this one I will start the water fall blanket

I enjoy your tutorials so much and have learned to read patterns and diagrams by following along. Does it hurt your feelings that some people tend to ignore your tutorials and finish ahead of the tutorials. To me it seems rude. I know these people are very experienced and don't need them but they could at least wait til the tutorials are done before they post.
@TheCrochetCrowd2 жыл бұрын
Honestly, I don't worry about it. If that's the biggest worry of my day, I would be lucky! haha. Don't sweat the small stuff. It's not worth it.

Mikey just wanted to point out a mistake in the written pattern. On row 11 it says to chain 1 and sc in each of the first 3 DC. There are only 2 DC to crochet in and that is what you do in the video is just 2 DC. ***Just pointing out the written pattern has a mistake in it.*** Lol I thought I had made a mistake until I watched you on the video again and you said only the next 2 dc. Thank you so much for making the video and doing the pattern correctly on the video. Thought I lost my mind. Lol
@TheCrochetCrowd2 жыл бұрын
Thank you and sorry for getting back to you so late. It was originally wrong as you said. it's been corrected since.

Row 7 Week 2: There is a mistake on Row 7. Mikey says Ch 3, dc in the next 4 sc. The pattern says "next 5 sc".

How long ago did you download the pattern? Revisions have happened so you may have an older copy. See the video description of this video for a link to the latest copy.

Also at the end of Row 7, the pattern says "1 dc in the last 2 sc". Mikey says "the last 3 sc"
