After reading your comment on our channel about this glider I had to stop by and check out your channel and your video of the SZD too because we seriously love this thing! First of all, I want to say Thank You very much for the continued support you bring our way. It really means a lot to us, and I feel like you've been a long time supporter. You know, you mentioned being excited about longer flight times on this, and I'm confident with a 2200 mah battery or so you could achieve a 45 minute flight time. I've heard of some people hitting a half hour or longer on a 1300 mah battery!!! You have a super great tone in your video and I feel like it is packed full of useful information! You are very well spoken, and love the family friendly content I witnessed here. This video was entertaining and educational, and I'll definitely have to swing by and check out more of your videos. Keep up the great work RC Plane Addict!

Well done, beautiful flight. I decided on the Night Radian & had some great beach flights yesterday which I will post on youtube. Many thanks, a great video.

That night radian is sweet. I might have to pick one up with the early night coming on now.

Absolutely but it glides forever… especially landing.

I like your running commentary as you fly very informative so may videos just show the plane flying and the viewers get little useful information. Will look for your videos in the future.

Manny I like your footage it's funny I too just picked up a glider recently 😄 it's the Volantex Phoenix 795-2 it's a lot like yours 3s 2200 30c. I flew two weeks ago it's definitely change of pace on 1300 mah pack it goes 6min on power but total flight without thermals is about 10min. it's fun I may put my mobius camera on it... Have fun Manny keep flying and sharing your videos ....peace.

Rafael, I am so happy that you enjoyed the video. I am trying to move towards a new format that is easier for the viewer to see with the GoPro and Run Cam, since I do not have a camera man, or a camera with a decent zoom. You are going to see more of this in the future for sure, and please let me know if you want to see anything , or have any other suggestions.

Looks like a very stable glider. I have the Night Radian and the Conscendo. As I am a member of the local glider club, I guess it only makes sense. I fly other planes on non meet days and actually do fly other planes on meet days, not sure if the Prez likes it but hey, it's flying and I enjoy all kinds of planes.
@RCPlaneAddict3 жыл бұрын
Wow, so you are jus the person I need to speak to. When you trim your gliders out, do you trim in glide or under power, and how do you control the crazy increase in climb when you throttle up?

Can you give a link to the run cam that you use? Is it easy to operate?

I mixed in some down elevator with the throttle. I put an 1800 3S battery helps to keep it from being nose heavy. From this video, I will add ail/rudder mix.
@RCPlaneAddict3 жыл бұрын
A lighter glider is always ideal, but I went flying last weekend in perfect conditions and found myself gliding for over 20 minutes before I needed a break. If you find the right air, the nose weight doesn't matter.

Hi Manny 😃 this question isn't glider related. I have a valiant and the new turbo timber evolution and I just bought the nx8 tm and I don't know how to bind them up with safe and as3x working! I'm still a new pilot and need safe for awhile yet! Do you have a video out to show me how to do this set up? I did it on the tx16s but the Radiomaster was defective and I can't fly the planes safely so I bought the nx8. Thank you Marty from Canada 🇨🇦🛩🛩🌞
@RCPlaneAddict3 жыл бұрын
Marty, thank for the support and I currently do not have a video up for binding the Spektrum receivers with As3x and Safe yet, but you are not the only one who has requested this type of video so I am one it. Stay tuned and hit the bell so you know when it posts. Cheers.

Cool video and great plane, I am very much tempted to get one to replace my old Radian. Out of curiosity, how do you attach the Runcam to the wing? Double side tape? Velcro? Thank for this video!
@RCPlaneAddict3 жыл бұрын
Well, this thing is amazing! And you should grab one even if it isn’t to replace another plane. The run cam is held on with a 10lbs test Velcro. I get them from my local Ace hardware store in white or black to match the paint.

If you fly without wheels, fly by hand, how much throttle do you run, 100 percent or what percent
@RCPlaneAddict2 жыл бұрын
This plane will lift off with barely any throttle, but most of the time I throw 3/4 on just to be sure, then I back it down as it will want to do a near vertical climb on you.

With this glider yes you can fly it as a full stunt glider put on full elevens with flaps you need a 8-channel radio to make that glider shine
@RCPlaneAddict3 жыл бұрын
Sounds above my head at this time. But I will keep that thought in mind.
@franciscomoises823 жыл бұрын
Would you recommend this plane, or type of plane as an fpv platform?
@RCPlaneAddict3 жыл бұрын
I suppose you can do a lot of different things with this plane, except go crazy with the Acro.
@jamesturncliff59603 жыл бұрын
You can make it an 8-channel get rid of those wire harnesses for the adironds and flaps 🤔🤗😜
@RCPlaneAddict3 жыл бұрын
8 channel on a glider.. Holy Cow!
@TIC543212 жыл бұрын
If you camber the entire trailing edge of the wing I think you'll find it's thermal ability improves substantially . That means 7 channels though but then you get crow braking too... Enjoy
@RCPlaneAddict2 жыл бұрын
Great suggestion. I did that to this glider and made a video, with only 6 channels! The only thing I could not do was full span ailerons. But full span camber and crow braking, check!
@TIC543212 жыл бұрын
@@RCPlaneAddict Ideally, crow brake should be on the throttle stick too and motor on a spring loaded on/off switch
@RCPlaneAddict2 жыл бұрын
I suppose it boils down to whatever you are comfortable with. This works for me. Cheers.

200mm Glider...??? 😎

That is what the box says, unless I read it wrong. Strange why they just don't say 2m. But I suppose 200mm just sounds larger! must be a marketing thing.

The pitch up on throttle activation is because you're mean wing and your tail elevator section are not on the same plane no pun intended. You can fix it with a mix or physically. Radian mods 1 and 2 are great videos. He goes into it more thoroughly he won champions with a crappy glider

My Night Radian has flown for 15-20 minutes with very light winds on warm days. I ordered this because it has flaps. My Radian overshot the runway time after time!
