I enjoy the Fiskars telescoping poles with the internal band and pull handle because I can tilt the head to do cuts closer to buds. About 120$ cdn.

Good review. I have a Corona pole pruner and I hate it. I've been looking for a commercial pruner and I think these will do the trick. Do you use it as a professional?

Thank you! Yes I use it professionally. I started with a proper pole pruner with rope and pulley - they have their place and are excellent when used for what they're designed for. But pruning in any dense shrubs or trees, the pulley and rope always get tangled. This long reach pruner is amazing at pruning dense shrubs and trees, with branches up to 1/2" or 3/4" thick (depends on how hard you can squeeze, and I often hurt my hands trying to prune branches that are too thick). Like I said in the video I should have just bought the telescopic one right off the bat. All in all this is one of my favourite and most used tools when I am working with small trees - like Japanese Maple for example. I just picked up a 6' Long Reach Lopper (Made in Japan, but not by ARS, although ARS makes a couple) which has been a game changer. It can do around 1.5" branches, and since it's a lopper action you don't hurt your hands. And no rope and pulley to get tangled. I should do a review of it at some point. If you're doing small branches get the pruner, but if you need to do big branches, definitely look into the Long Reach Lopper! Thanks for your comment!

@@charleskarpiuk7330 I'll look into the loppers too. I'd love to see a review if ya get a chance. I do a lot of fruit trees this time of year and was about to cut my pole pruner into pieces yesterday! I'll definitely be buying some new gear this year.

@@DaEternalNoob I don't do fruit trees as I don't think any of my residential clients have any. But when pruning aren't you pruning smaller branches, rather than taking out big branches? Usually whenever I whip out the long reach loppers it's for trees that are overgrown and need their size to be reduced.

@@charleskarpiuk7330 For a tree that has been maintained properly most cuts are under 1/2". I advertise fruit tree pruning for the winter work (Stone fruits are early spring though) and tend to get A LOT of customers that haven't maintained their trees well, if at all. I often have to do pretty extensive renovations. Regardless. I love tools and am always looking to increase the arsenal! And anytime I can stay off a ladder is good.
