I agree. The commentator coverage on TNT/BT was essentially praising inconsistent refereeing. They even admitted he wasn't even getting the decisions right but still praising him.

It was a surreal experience to see such terrible refereeing, while hearing the commentators praising him endlessly for his experience. He was truly atrocious and I dnt understand it.

was the same on CBS too. Moron commentator and co-commentator (Rob Green) were in a constant loop of praise for Pepe because he's old despite his arsehole nature and praise for the ref despite his performance.

Honestly with the ref when I clocked he was letting things just fly (which I think could easily be a recipe for disaster cos as the players realize the challenges become stronger and more dangerous) for either team I was cool with it, then he disallows that goal for such a soft call and I was furious. He should’ve kept that consistency up at least

What was funny though was on TNT they had Rio Ferdinand pop in to say "Porto will win" 😂. Rio is turning himself into an idiot day by day with his statements about Arsenal. Wrong assessment on last free kick. The other free kick in similar position. Porto ran toward Arsenal goal instead of backing toward their goal. First time all 6 or 7 players were offside.

Man Plans but God Decides - The Referee plans to made harder for us (i really think he didnt want to gives us any advantages because of he didnt want to gives his "brother" advantages, jokes a side he didnt want to gives advantages to the home side, because like he lose to atmosphere of the stadium) - Porto side that plans use all their dark arts and strategy to made harder for us - The situation that we are in didnt help us. conceding last minute goal on the first leg to a hard to score team is very disadvantage for us. - The nervousness in our player surely didnt help .... but once god decides that we go through he will gives some of our players to step up the occations !!! props to Captain Odegaard , Our Penalty Hero Raya, Our upandcoming rock at the back Kiwior, and the last is Our Warrior Havertz that got batter by the opponents knee everytimes they take on aerial battle.

Watching on TV, you could definitely feel the tension at the Emirates. I wish our fans were a little more confident because it definitely translates to the on the pitch performance. I know it's easy for me to say sitting at home, and I was bricking it too, so I understand it. I just think it would benefit us not to have such nervous energy. They were great during the shootout tbf though
