I want to see us try a 3-2-3-2, with Magalhaes, Saliba, and Timber in the back; Merino and Partey as defensive midfielders; Rice and Odegaard on the wings and Havertz as a AMF; and Jesus and Saka up front. Against a side like Palace, I think we could spare a full back to allow this formation, which would allow more creativity on attack.

It's interesting how different my view point of Sterling is to the average. For a guy with zero momentum behind him I'm always impressed by how close he gets to producing goals every time he plays. He gets way more opportunities on average than Martinelli. Even yesterday he was way more involved in goal scoring opportunities than Trossard. He regularly has flashes of play that make it obvious to me he would be really good if he played regularly. But he's the lowest priority attacker in our team so he's probably not going to get the time.

I do feel some criticism for Sterling is a little harsh. Dont get me wrong i dont think he has played great in the games he has started, but he never gets runs of games and when he starts the next few games he wont even come off the bench and wont be used, it must be hard for him to get any momentum.
