Im a Man City fan but can honestly say that due to some cowardly decisions by Arteta they could have won the PL last season. His decision to play for a point at the Etihad last season instead of going for the win cost them the league. The season before he selected Rob Holding who is clearly not good enough when he had other options. As an objective Arsenal fan, I believe Arsenal has progressed significantly in the last five years. However, before last season, they should have signed a striker besides Havertz. While Havertz was not a bad signing, something essential is still missing. With an 85 percent complete squad, it is hard to win major titles in England. Arsenal's main issue is sticking to a concept that does not work.Apart from this .....their winning rate, their style improved a lot, there is something still missing, that cherry from the top, and a stronger bench.If Arteta keep doing this and they can't invest a bit more, I am afraid they never gonna win the league.

Arsenal rightly deserve some criticism but nothing overkill. It’s been clear to me why they are where they are and they have been very unlucky. It’s intriguing and Chelsea should be lauded as contenders. Why are they getting a free pass, just like the criticism when. They was shocking. 1.5 bn spent to the 3rd best team and 2nd best squad 1 year fresh from winning the CL. It’s not an underdog story or free ride. This should be bare minimum and I’m a hater but I’ll tell you now. Chelsea and maresca deserve a ton of credit. Ballsy call for maresca, unknown quantity massive overhaul and job. First time that level. And they playing good football too. Quality title race why are Arsenal the team people just mock and lose all objectivity with. It’s actually boring.
