Have to agree with Rory. To beat Man City, and this applies to Liverpool as well as Arsenal, the maximum number of games you can lose is 4. Arsenal lost to Villa twice, Fulham, West Ham and Newcastle. They lost the league by two points. So if we lose this weekend, it's arguable that we can't lose more than twice between now and May, still needing to play Liverpool at Anfield, City at home, Chelsea home and away, Villa at home, Brighton away... not to mention all of the potential banana skins at the smaller grounds (Luton almost shocked us last season, and I can see Ipswich doing something similar).

I agree with that bloke, there will be no perfection this season, it will be a tough grind. The chasing pack like Chelsea, Villa, Spurs, Newcastle, Brighton, ManU etc are all capable of beating the top 3 on their day.

I think this early in the season, a point is a decent result for both. It also depends on the side that Arsenal can put out. If they’ve got as many injuries as suggested then I, as a Liverpool fan, will be disappointed if we don’t go out and win that game.

This was meant to be the year for Arsenal but they bottled it in the summer transfer window. They need to win the FA Cup or Caraboa Cup this season or serious questions need to be asked. Arsenal gave up on the Premier league and Champions League by not signing a Striker and having washed players like Sterling, Jesus & Zinchenko still in the squad.

i remember one season liverpool were like 12 points behind city in december, we won more or less every game for the rest of the season and we finished a point behind them. If arsenal lose to us on sunday they’ll be 7 points behind us so after that they have 2/3 more slip ups before december then it could be beyond them cus you’d expect one of us or city to go on a crazy run

The best result is a Liverpool win. Pushing Man City to their limits again. The worst result by far is an Arsenal win, Arsenal still level on points with City even if City lose (they won't... They'll trounce Southampton), Liverpool get 0 points advantage over City, pretty much all in City's favour. A draw is an "ok" result.

I agree with a lot of what Rory said… for once, but his argument about a good point doesn’t make sense to me in this scenario. If there was 5-10 games to go and they were a few point behind liverpool they’d need to win of course, they should’ve tried to beat city near the end of last season, whereas right now a draw is ok cus the gap from u to the top isn’t growing it’s staying the same.

The contradiction is frightening. Truth is, there is nothing like an easy game.
