The biggest issue with arsenal that no one has addressed is that the fanbase have set expectations basis last year's performances. In all honesty, the team over-performed last season and were aided by other teams faltering. Havertz is a 70M flop cuz he neither solves the Left centre-mid conundrum nor does he solve the striker issues. Arteta should have addressed this in the summer instead of trying to fit Havertz in his squad. The team has enough creativity to generate goalscoring chances, but no one to finish it off.

excited to see thiago alcantara again just from an aesthetic POV but i don’t think he’ll be a starter. Szoboszlai and curtis have to start every prem game until they drop their form a bit (i know szoboszlai is injured for a little now) then when endo is in the 6 macca should be the first midfielder coming on and thiago should be the one after that. He’s 5th choice when it comes to midfielders that will start and be brought on and with the midfielders all covering more ground this year im not sure thiago has the legs in him to play in that 8 role with the intensity of the others, we might see him be a backup in the 6 position to endo and allow macca to be the more advanced one if anything
