In the North London derby, Arsenal come out on top against Tottenham despite almost losing a 3 goal lead. While Man City also get the job done against Forest to retain the advantage in the title race.
Substitute, Mo Salah’s, touchline row with Jurgen Klopp dominated the headlines. Is Salah right to be upset? And what can Salah expect from Arne Slot’s Liverpool next season?
Jimbo is joined in the studio by Charlie Eccleshare, JJ Bull and Adrian Clarke after a dramatic weekend on and off the pitch.

So much chat about Spurs and the top 4. Villa are actually fourth but champions league apparently not a discussion point for them. Spurs get so much leeway in the narrative.

@@afrofantom6631 bit of a hot take there. I think Spurs are good and there's a lot to like about their squad, manager and style of play. Definitely deserve to finish 5th

It was the 4th game in 11 days, the intensity from Arsenal was never gonna be that high. Especially with Tottenham having over 2 weeks off during that time. Also, it helped curtail effective counters which theyre good at

Spot on in regards to their analysis on LFC -- simply not good enough out of position all season. It is actually insane we have gotten the points tally we have, hoping Slot can come in a figure out some of the issues here. YNWA.

I don't know what extended highlights you watched of Man Utd v Burnley that made you think they were unlucky not to win but that's total nonsense. As someone who actually watched the game, Utd were poor but should've won. They missed 3 sitters & could've had 2 penalties. Judging on recent penalties given against Utd they were stonewallers. Burnley needed the usual sequence of calamities from Utd players to scrape a late draw with a penalty. You can say Utd are bad without talking total nonsense about what actually happened.

Hahah I like how Chelsea's win against Tottenham is an "asterisk" win but when Liverpool had two shocking reds and a clear goal denied by VAR because 10 seconds had passed, against the same opponent, it's all good.

What is Adrian on about.....why is he so sure it wasn't Arsenal's intention to let Spurs have the ball and counter. Pretty sure it was a conscious decision as Spurs will play that way, whereas Arteta's more flexible.

25:25 Objectively false. City have one of the smaller squads in the league and use the least amount of players. You're mistaking squad size for squad versatility; especially midfield and forward players can play a variety of positions, so they're able to rotate more. I hear this alot, "city have a large squad." It's just not true. I expect a full correction in tomorrow's Athletic ;)

So actual squad depth and meaningful squad depth are different, this is actually a strength of Pep, Arteta started the season with about 18 potential players he could trust, really now we have about 13 (the first 11 plus Jesus and Martinelli/ maybe Kiwior on a good day) Pep by comparison started the season with at least 16 trust worthy players and still has them in fact probably added 1 in Oscar Bob. Klopp has a similar problem to Arteta but started with many more 'potentially' trustworthy players and has lost them across the season Technically all 3 managers have 25 man squads In reality Pep has the deepest squad. Long comment but i wanted to explain this to a city fan somewhere.

@@patrickdawson6281 Thanks for a thoughtful, nuanced answer. Through great recruitment, and yes, lots of moolah, City have constructed a deep and versatile squad of high quality to world class players. One thing i think is interesting is the types of players- they're all hardworking, relatively humble, and team focused, seemingly willing to sacrifice some playing time for the greater good (and the chance to be coached by Pep). Any signs of schism, and they're out. Anyways, I think City fans bristle because the lazy answer is "they have a large squad and lots of money", when I think it's much more interesting and nuanced than that.

Refereeing on "vibes" makes it even more subjective. A silly argument lol. It's just an obvious foul - how it is getting so much air time in comparison to much more obvious VAR blunders is just astounding. Is it because it happened against Chelsea, a Sky6 team, by a non Sky 6 team in Villa? Mental.
