The difference between Jota and Firminho is that Jota is a stricker that positions himself at the right place at the right time which is what Firminho isn't. Jota is a goal getter and a businessman on the field. All he's interested in is goal. There's no gainsaying that Firminho's time in the Liverpool is up. Any good stricker that got that single opportunity he got e.g Son, Salah (If on the left side), Jota etc would have scored it. On Trent's being dropped from the last Euro league, it's sad that Southgate didn't deem it necessary to think outside the box. How on earth could you leave out a world class like Trent on the basis of his current form which I believe was wrongly judged because he was already improving well at the time matches kicked off. You don't write off a player like that. On Arsenal their performance was disappointing but I reckon the fact that Liverpool are wounded Lions who became more voracious when Chelsea lost to WBA. They were dominant, they raised their game, arguably the best in recent time since VVD left. They gave Arsenal no breathing space contesting for every ball and retrieving every ball lost and would have been more especially Salah's last attempt denied by Leno. This is a new Liverpool that Real Madrid should be very worried about.

This has been the problem with England for years, technical players taking a back seat to industrious physical players. In any other country Trent would be lauded. Some of the best fullbacks ever alaba, alves, Lahm, Marcelo, lizarazu, Cafu, weren’t the best defenders but what they offered going forward more than made up for it. Don’t have the managers to utilise flair players, gerrard, lampard, scholes all wasted as will Trent, grealish, foden be wasted by Southgate. Would love an england manager who would just let these players play. We have some great players in this country but still stuck to these rigid ways of playing.

Laca has improved this season, but Auba is not having balls fed into him as much as last season, Arsenal have changed their style of play and the onus is more on Odegaard / Smith Rowe to create. In my opinion.

Arteta has since changed his tactics and distribution Especially without Saka is more focused on playing the ball around midfield( an example as to why Odegaard was brought in as a 10) as opposed to between lines between oppositions full backs. From what I have seen, Artetas system, though not negative is more based around keeping shape and hitting teams on the break through the center (as opposed to out wide) is why for me when Arsenal are being attacked, the attacking players may as well be redundant. That is why you concede as many goals as you do. Same thing with my team, Liverpool. We have conceded far too many goals this season but the issue for me is not being able to control the middle of the field. So when we have to defend our wide forwards may as well not be on the pitch. We had nothing in midfield to be able to supply our wide forwards. As an example, Nicolas Pepe with his skillset( In my opinion) would absolutely smash it in a league where opposition teams play a deeper line and the onus is on them to create. Serie A as an example
