This man literally changed the footballing world. Especially in UK where players behaved like amateurs. He addressed; diet, recovery, training, hydration, sleep etc. In short the seriousness footballers have to take today is due to this man's contribution. Always Mr Wenger, thanks sir for what you've done for football. #COYG

Actually there is a bust of Arsene somewhere in the Emirates. It was commissioned after the move from Highbury if I remember correctly. It's Not a statue, but it's not like we haven't celebrated the guy at all.

This man has been beyond his years since birth. Even with the world evolving and his age he’s still ahead of the game. Football is inflated two world cups will force teams to use and see more players causing this inflated market to go down because today these football players are beyond over paid when you can find someone just as talented and hungry looking for a shot. Football needs to evolve I’m all for more competition and 5 subs these big clubs need to start utilizing u23 and academy players. Once a goon always a goon

Lovely bloke.... But fell short when the big guns left, in mid noughties. Failed to rebuild a league winning team again after nearly winning a heart breaking champions league final against Barcelona. Finished in top 4 for the next 10 years or so, but that just teased us in hindsight that they could ever recapture his former success.... Stubunness, soft backbone to his later teams and off the pitch issues where selling their best players became a bad habit, fabrecas, van persue, adebayor all left and went onto win league titles.... So that tells you the whole story their for the last ten years.... Unbelievable impact and changed the English game forever in the first 10 years.... But that led to false expectations for the last 10 and if your an arsenal fan was one of the most frustrating football teams to follow in this period.... Certainly not in Alex Fergusons league when it comes to recruitment, reinventing yourself, your teams and the way you play week in week out to suit different types of opposition.... As I say great guy, but don't be fooled, he was found out in the last 10 years.

Watch the documentary to gain a better understand of the circumstances. People forget that money poured out of Arsenal whilst other teams gained unchecked finances. This impacted what he could do.
@jimmyfoot8323 жыл бұрын
@@AntoineSpeaks yes point taken, but I did already elude partly to this fact in that they sold there best players to aid financial situation, and the new stadium probably had a big impact, but there were many other things that could be controlled, bottom line is I think 3 titles in first 10 years is pretty good, but 3 over 22 years is not... And to me that's what he should be measured on.... They were in winnable positions again going into last 10 games I think in at least 1 or 2 of the latter years but couldn't see it through, always dropped off, frustrating as hell
@ojaysss3 жыл бұрын
@@jimmyfoot832 you can measure and judge the man anyhow you see fit, but the fact is, if you can achieve what he achieved in his career in your own field in one lifetime, you would understand how irrelevant it is to keep judging and measuring someone you already succeeded in getting rid of. If you wish to celebrate and appreciate his achievements without criticism, there's a lot of positivity to focus on. Nothing wrong with the criticism but he doesn't manage your club anymore so what are we trying to achieve by criticising him now? Is it to make sure he doesn't get undeserved love and appreciation?
