HUGEEE respect for wenger ! No star players at all , he's bringing up the young squad and trying to compete with the best clubs in the world with the best players but still manages to get to the top 3 despite of losing valuable players. Arsenal should be proud to have a manager like him . I wonder what liverpools manager would have done to this squad?! And yes Its a huge gain for the Man united fans to have a great player inspired and brought up my one of the best managers - WENGER ! RESPECT!

I'm a diehard Man utd Fan but i agree to your comments. RVP could have chosen to leave long ago but he chose to leave now since he was the top scorer of EPL last year. But, On the other side, When Hleb,Flamini,Nasri and Fabregas left Arsenal, RVP was still there rejecting the offers from other clubs. Maybe, He was running out of patience. No trophies whatsoever.............

I am a huge Man Utd fan but I have full respect for Wenger.The man doesn't have the biggest funds in the world and each year he loses a major player in the team(RVP,Cesc,Nasri) but each year he always ends up in the Top 3 of the hardest league in the world with mostly mediocre players.Now he has bought 3 great players so imagine what he could do.Wenger you are a class manager and that long awaited trophy will come soon.As much as I hate saying that!!!
@millions102212 жыл бұрын
I agree with you that he is one of the greatest managers football has ever seen. He was responsible for making "Henry,Wiltord,Pires,Bergkamp,Van Persie, Fabregas & Nasri" world class players. Arsenal formation and passing is second to none i would say. Although I'm a die hard Manutd fan, I really respect Wenger's Management style & play.

From what I heard RVP had pushed Arsene's buttons and forced him to sell him, but if Arsene had just held on to RVP for that one year (that he left on the contract) it would have been quite possible that we may have one a trophy (maybe not the league, but a cup) and then he may have extended his contract. #WENGEROUT

You're comment has made me so happy to realise that others see this as well! I am neither an Arsenal nor Man U fan (St.Johnstone fan from Scotland). But I have always thought the best managers in the EPL are: Arsene Wenger and David Moyes. Moyes for similar reasons. No money, always same players, any good players go to better teams, and yet he still manages to do well with Everton. David Moyes = Next Man U manager when Ferguson goes!

Flamini left because of contract disputes. point is - arsenal HAS been run like this by Arsene since almost before Persie came. he had a chance to extend his contract last year when he was doing well and so was Arsenal. he was just waiting that period out and waiting for the end of the season so he could negotiate and get unbelievable wages, which is against the club policy - he didnt get what he suddenly wanted after being a one season wonder so he decided to leave.

Arsenal fans need to get over it, he's a world class player who deserves to be challenging for the top trophies, and at 29 he's not getting any younger so how can you blame him? He stayed because he tried his best to help arsenal, but at the end of last season, he knew that arsenal would never be title contenders. Despite his injuries, he's scored 132 goals for arsenal which is very impressive, and if he wanted money he, he would have gone to city.

Arsene is right but he didn't finish his explanation, he had 2 choices : 1) Force him to say (and have to face a player who will be unhappy. That means he would have not play as good as he was and he might corrupt the team spirit which is Arsenal deep soul. And of course, at the end of a player contract, the player can leave the club for free..) 2) or to let him go (and allow the club to have a great severance pay on a 29 years old striker..) I'd have done the same damned thing.

Do you think he had a choice? In fact, Wenger did have a choice; let Van Persie run down his contract, making him play at Arsenal for another season against his will, and then of course, get nothing for him in a year's time. Or sell him to United for a fantastic price, and re-invest that money into the squad. You'd have to be an idiot not to go with the latter option. I'm sure if PSG or juve made a realistic bid, Wenger wouldn't be so inclined to accept United's offer.

c'mon, rvp was in arsenal for many years and he didn't move from arsenal to make more money. He wanted to win trophies, and he felt that he can't do it in arsenal. And in all honesty, arsenal is in a position that they are not the favourites for bpl, cl, or even the fa cup.
@Zauchi11 жыл бұрын
No you didn't so I will explain, You said Arsenal weren't unlucky. I replied to you why Arsenal were unlucky. They were Unlucky to not win because they had 10 men and it was not until the 75th minute when Barcelona made subs that the game went in Barcelona's favour. If it was 11 against 11 Arsenal would have won. So they were unlucky to not win. And only a fool would say that this Arsenal team were "not good enough", playing with 10 men for a majority of the match = Unlucky.
@tressy10112 жыл бұрын
He could have kept RVP for this season, he would have had to perform to keep interest high from other clubs. If he performed, Arsenal could very well have won a trophy/trophies and he may have signed a new contract..or.. If he didnt perform/ got injured, interest in him from other clubs would have dropped and other clubs would have been put off signing a 29 year old and he would have no other option but to re-sign with Arsenal

Arsene did what's the best for the club and for his ex-captain RvP. End of. Arsenal will move forward without him. RvP will carry on scoring for his club. Hopefully our defence knows well enough in how to stop the flying Dutchman when November arrives. He's not invincible. Look at his performances in Euro 2012, against the Danes & Portuguese and obv. he's only a player. I believe that TV5 and Merty can keep him in check. Hopefully Rooney and RvP won't be too much for our lads!!!
