As we celebrate 30 years of 1992 Tournament lets look at the highlights if an interesting encounter between Pakistan and South Africa played at Brisbane on March 8, 1992
This game is widely notable for Jhonty Rodhes Super man effort to run out Inzamam Ul Haq when Pakistan were cruising nicely. That dismissal triggered a lower order collapsed from which Pakistan never recovered.

When talking about 1992 WC everyone is pointing out that rain affected match between Pak and Eng which earned Pak a single point, but no one discuss about this match if this went to full length Pak had a very decent chance to win it comfortably and gained two vital points

It actually wasn't DL then. It was a different calculation just referred to as the rain rule. In fact, DL was developed because of the fiascos caused by this rain rule.

This was unfortunate for Pakistan but the same rule came back to bite South Africa in the semifinal against England, whom Pakistan then beat in the final, so Imran didnt know it then but it worked out happily thereafter alhamdulillah. People talk a lot about Jonty Rhodes' dynamic fielding but I have to say this is also the match where Hansie Cronje announced himself, crucial recovery effort after the midinnings collapse. Andrew Hudson set them up with that immaculate off-side play, excellent cutter.

Akram not at his best but still nailing those insane inswinging yorkers. Rain rule was so stupid. Should have been a walk in d park chase for Pakistan if full game was played.

Before vs England, Pakistan got all out below 80 runs, but because of rain they got the equal point shared with England. Because of that point, Pakistan entered semi final

Pakistan won 1992 World cup by sheer luck. . Pakistan was qualified for Semifinal by deliberate loss by tournament favorite Newzeland in last league match and unexpected West Indies loss to Australia in the last league match of the tournament. 2 favorable incident is a rare phenomena However, Pakistan played like true champion in Semi final & finals in 1992 world cup. Pakistan deserved 1999 World cup win. It is very unfortunate that Pakistan played worst final against Australia.

@@arunsadasivan1738 Well you can't say for sure. It varies and we have no idea why. I uploaded some Pak Ind 04 content and got instant copyright claim where as I see lots of other channels uploading with any issues and getting revenue from them as well

The WC was not decided in a stupid way, though the rules looked stupid by the book. Pakistan won by sheer hard work when they qualified for the playoffs. It was sheer hard work and determination at play by the Pakistanis during the final stage/shows. They deserved this WC. It was probably the most beautiful WC I ever saw in my growing-up days, though I was jealous of the Pakistan Cricket Teams. Now it's a beautiful memory.
