ART AND ARCHITECTURE PHOTOGRAPHY

In today's video I'm doing some art and architecture photography in the small town of Abanilla in the Murcia region of Spain.
I didn't know much about the town but I had seen the Escaleras Pintadas or Painted Stairs which is a massive artwork covering the nearly 200 steps from the town hall to the high point of the town and the statue of Sagrado Corazón de Jesús. I also found some nice architectural features and the 19th century lavadero municipal

Great town to visit Ralph, the steps are just magnificent and the colours are very vibrant. Also the church with the dome and backdrop of the mountains is nice. Looked like a very nice photo shoot.

Nice town, Ralph. I really liked those steps, they are such a great subject and the colours are also amazing. The details someone can find in these towns are great too and it is always worth it walking around and discover these lovely and almost certainly hidden gems that show history and architecture.

Thank you Ralph for warming me up and raising my spirits … It is raining, cold and grey in North Scotland today and even the frogs in our pond are sheltering, so it is wonderful to see the colour, sun and warmth in your video. It is certainly a place where I would like to make photographs, but I also think I would have made some monochrome images…

Good one Ralph. Lovely town, but you have to go back! That view across the town with the blue dome and mountains in bg is great but crying out for a panorama. Sorry, that's just how it is.
