I appreciate your sharing. We need someone to look up to. Kids need to know what you did to get to where you are. I have only one eye. No depth perception. I got hit in the head by a bungee cord . The eye was shattered. I say this to you because when I look at your art even I see with one eye. I see the values. I see the color harmony. I see the details of the details . I have no idea if one eye allows me to see better. I know I’m not confused when I look. Cezar , I see your heart first then the paintings. I see standards and vision and creativity I have only seen in a few great artists. I see the work it took for you to do what you do. I am in awe.

Hmmm, I never considered starting a painting without stretching the canvas first. But , I think it could be a good idea especially if you don’t have a lot of space to work in. Thanks for showing your process. As an art student I appreciate it.

Hey Cesar, great video man! I have a question, so what are your thoughts on juried shows that call for artist submissions (not just from galleries) ? are they worth the effort and fees? thanks!

Now you're a deconstructivist realist! I love paintings that show the drawing and tonal layers. The final work even incorporates the warm tones and texture of the linen canvas. If you aren't getting hounded for portrait commisions there's something wrong with this world.

@@santocesart Cesar, the biggest challenge I have in painting is getting proportions correct. What process or technique do you follow to get proportions right - especially when the face on the canvas is a lage size? Then of course it is even more difficult when one is painting/drawing not using the sight-size measurement but using proportional measurement. Because in portraits, a few millimetres off and the expression is wrong. Many thanks.
