I'm from Japan. Art Color(アートカラー) is a distributor and the manufacturer is (三起社)Sanki-sha. Sanki-sha is animation tool production company.(desks, pegbar, paper, etc.) Every animation production company in Japan uses Sanki-sha. The bracket is A4(297mm×210mm) paper standard. Thanks for the review! I've been looking in to a good 'punch my own' solution for a while.

Thank you so much for this review! I've seen this hole punch everywhere on ebay and I couldn't tell if this was trustworthy, so its nice to have some new info on it!

I'm shocked that these punches haven't been knocked off decades ago. it's literally just a question of replicating one very simple die. Even if the design is copyrighted I doubt that'd stop anybody. The demand must not be high enough (or at least the awareness of the demand must not be there).

You have any idea how long I've waited for something like this to come out?

I hope anyone would make a bracket for letter size paper for 3d printing, anyone is an expert of 3d printing?

Hi, thank you for the review. How many pieces of paper can the machine punch at one take? Thank you!
@drewadams34983 жыл бұрын
Hey there. This punch is great but it's not very industrial. I wouldn't encourage punching more than three or four pages of animation paper at a time or more than one piece of watercolour paper at once. Hope this helps!

Hi! So, 2 years after you made this video, did its durability suffer much? Thinking of getting one too. Thanks for the review
@drewadams34983 жыл бұрын
Hey there! Remarkably, yes, it's still going strong with semi-regular use! The punched holes remain clean and even and the unit hasn't shown any particular signs of wear or deterioration. I ought to do a follow up video at some point.

Why are these damn this so expensive? WHY?
@drewadams34984 жыл бұрын
I believe the main reason why is because they're an unusually niche tool that also has to be imported from Japan. The original manufacturer, Sankisha, doesn't seem to ship or sell outside of Japan so all of these listings are people reselling them on eBay. Or possibly being sold by a distributor. I'm just as unpleased as you, believe me! I wish these were more accessible but, sadly, for now they're still largely unknown.

Trust me, this is cheap.
