Let me make this very clear. I am a Meetei of Manipur (Kangleipak). And the ancient festival of Manipur called "Lai Haraoba" has nothing to do with Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Lord Shiva was never worshipped in Manipur. It was only after the arrival of Vaishnavism in the 18 century that the worship of lord Shiva began. Also, "Lai Haraoba" is performed by worshipping Ancient deities of Manipur( Kangleipak) namely Lainingthou Sanamahi, Ebudhou Pakhngba, Ebudhou Thangjing, Ebudhou Marjing, Ebudhou Wangbren etc

@@prashanthishivaprakash2332 ok let me tell u some interesting facts about Manipur. Manipur was known as Kangleipak, Meiteileipak, Poirei from time immemorial. We have our own language called Meiteiron, script called Meitei Mayek, scriptures called Puya, Games like Polo, Hiyang tanaba, Mukna(Wrestling), Mukna Kangjei (Wrestling and Hockey), Kang Langba and Martial Arts called Thang-ta, Religion called Sanamahism. We have our own Flora and fauna and many plants and animals species which are found only in Manipur. Regarding the geography, we have once captured Yunnan Province of China, half of the present Myanmar and all the present states of Northeast. We have our own festivals called Lai Haraoba, Cheiraoba, Ningol Chakkouba, Mera Houchongba, Kwak tanba and many more. The name Manipur was coined in the 18 century only. It had always been an independent country throughout the history from time immemorial. It came under the British rule in 1891 only and Manipur was not annexed but they installed a 5 year old king called Meidingu Churachand and they also gave him many special powers. We got our Independence on 14 August, 1947 before India. It got merged with India in 1949. Kanglei Emana yaifare 🙏🏻 Jai hind 🇮🇳
