Correction: art Deco era ended with the beginning of WWII, not WWI.

This is a very lazy, under-researched piece in general. The narrator also mentions "swing dancing" which is synonymous with the second world war years; late '30s to mid '40s.

@@Tojazzer Yes, thank you for both corrections. Poorly written script. And wouldn't you know it, the video is a sales pitch. I'm OK with that as long as the presentation is excellent and accurate. Unfortunately, this one falls short.

I love Art Deco. I have always loved it but didn't know it's name. I remember when I was a kid watching Batman cartoon, Gotham city was full of Art Deco buildings and sceneries. And when played Bioshock, and Dishonored and some other games. When I grew up I started actively looking for this style and finally reached the answer. I will try to make a building, apartment or a project some day inspired only by Art Deco.

Hello. "L'Art Décoratif" or "Art-Déco" was even born in France as early as 1918 and the end of WW1. It was within the framework of a general movement of renewal and desire to live, to recognize the joy of life, the beauty, and not only in Art but in all fields. A desire for fresh air and to breathe life to the fullest after 4 years of asphixia, horrors, blood, deaths and tears.

Poorly written script evidenced by the errors pointed out by Gonzalez and Tojazzer below. And wouldn't you know it, the video is a sales pitch. I'm OK with that as long as the presentation is excellent and accurate. Unfortunately, this one falls short.
