Great video! I normally don't make ight thru them but yours was great! Tip: take a large white candle when your page is done and rub it ALL over your page! Keeps them from sticking together!

I heard you can run a thick candle over your pages or coat with clear gesso to keep them from sticking. And rub a little baby powder or corn starch on the sticky part where you had something glued and took it off. It works beautifully, no more sticky. My favorite is flip through, thanks for sharing!

Your art journal is gorgeous! If you want to smooth out colored pencil strokes, use Gamsol odorless mineral spirits (or baby oil) with a blending stump. It not only smooths out the strokes, it makes the color a little more vibrant.

When you mention using matte medium over the Dylusion sprays did you gesso before or after the matte medium? You referred to it around 36:00.

its a sewcrazi day for me. Can you tell? lol. LOVE THIS book. It is amazing. I just can't do a journal bcuz when I have a page I don't like - I just can't stand it being in the book. I applaud you. What is the name of the paper on your desk. the wood paper. I have seen that on James Burke and a couple of others. I am just leaning about watercolors and I have to say I am falling in love with it. I love to float it. Still very new with it but I am enjoying it when I get to.

Hi Paula!! Keep playing!! Gesso and collage are our friends when we don't like what we create! lol At the same time, it's nice to leave it to "see" our growth as time passes. I have a real wood backdrop my hubby made for me. I did purchase a piece of poster board made by We Are Memory Keepers at Hobby Lobby last week that has the white washed wood print on it. Only $2. BUT...it is paper, not plastic or silicone. ;)

I know I can gesso it out but I still know it’s under there. Isn’t that crazy!!!!!!!! I have a big piece of the brown Teflon that I got off eBay. It’s 24 x 36. But the white board might be something different.

I love your girls so much. I was wondering do you spray the pencil drawings with a fixative so they don't smug on the opposite page. And if so do you spray before you put watercolor or after?

Hi Moxie! I have only sprayed a few of the watercolor pages after the watercolor was finished with fixative spray. Most of the pages were left alone, as is, even the pencil. I may change that in the future, if I can find one that doesn’t smell so bad. Thank you! 😊

I spent like an hour and a half watching it (maybe 2 hours), 'cause I kept pausing it to take in so much awesomeness...and backing up so I could hear what you were saying again. I could barely get enough of it, and I know I'll be watching it again! I love how you talked about the pieces, and so appreciate you sharing with us! I just received a notification that you've uploaded a video about your favorite art supplies...very excited to watch it! I already know I'm going to get the (I think it's called) High Chroma watercolor set from QOR, because you so highly recommended the set to try. Also, I've got to get one of those Dylusions Journals!!! I do have a question...I noticed in this video that all of the pages sound and look so sturdy and I'm wondering, do you put some type of gesso, or gel medium, or anything on every page, or is the paper just really that wonderful, no matter what?
