@Vicky Papaioannou • Wow! This video was so helpful. I had no idea these binding tools existed, nor the corners, nor where to get chipboard. After all the work & thought that goes into making a journal, this is such a great way to protect them yet store them easily. The tip on how to color the corners to match the cover anticipated any future needs I might have. And I enjoyed the flip throughs. Carmen is still as stunning as when I first say her video . . . as is "Dance as if no one is watching," Happy Birthday, and everything else. This video was a very pleasant surprise for a Tuesday morning. Thanks for sharing your knowledge and techniques before we even know we need them! 👍

Hi Vicky! I love your ‘little treasures’ art journal cover and appreciate the step by step tutorial to create it. I always thought it seemed too challenging to even try to create my own journal/cover but now I can see the possibilities. I’ll check out that kit that made it so easy. Thank you. I have SO enjoyed this series of mini journal layouts using Stamperia’s wonderful products. I’m almost finished with my first A6 journal which was delayed by a card making mission that was time consuming but worth the effort and now I look forward to continue going through my Stamperia collections to complete not only the first journal but to enjoy working in a second journal. I have quite a few collections that are tired of being stored away in a 12x12 album and are screaming to be used! Finally… I did see a comment or two recently admonishing you to change direction or rather make a U-turn to former video content and I just want to encourage you by borrowing a quote from Tim Holtz and say, “You do You!” I think Stamperia is a perfect fit for you and I love seeing you shine. Your Create Happiness collections are an amazing combination of items just perfect for art journaling and I enjoy using them very much. There is so much creativity and inspiration in every video you post that I can channel my inner Vicky to adapt those techniques to whatever products I’m using (currently loving “49 and Market” 6x8 collections). I love the idea of using canvas to make cover and then glue scrapbook paper over the canvas. I am going to use that technique on my next junk journal.

Canvas gives some texture to the project but since it is white and with all the lights for filming it doesn't show in the video. But it is lovely in real life

This time she used white canvas. With another journal I seen her use muslin fabric. I think you can use about a any mostly cotton fabrics.

yes this one was thin canvas fabric, has a bit of texture but is hard to catch on camera. I like fabric as it holds nicely over the years. Fake leather is also great as a cover. Most people use scrapbook paper ... use what you have... once I used fabric from old curtains or even old jeans 🤣
