Karen, this is a lovely tribute to your father. I recall a video you did where you gave us a tour of your craft space. You showed a sturdy table that your Dad had built. Somehow, my brain made a connection between your father’s talents and your sensibilities. It made an impression on me. Wishing for you deep healing and the time necessary to move through your grief. You have a good memory.Yes the table I create on was made by my dad/with my dad> I was famous for coming up with projects for him to do for me. I designed ...he applied the skills. I do get my creativity from both my parents. K

This is a beautiful tribute piece...I lost my Dad suddenly on a sunny afternoon in June 21 years ago. I didn't have art as a means of therapy at that time. Wish I had. Sorry he flew on.

I did not realize the background for the echinacea plant. I was just drawn to it for this page. Interestingly enough a friend dropped by the same day and gifted me an echinacea plant for my garden as a condolence gift. K

I love how you color the focal point…looks like you painted it on the page itself. All the line work just makes everything pop. Beautiful tribute page Karen. Even though loss is a part of life, it’s never easy to experience…I’m so glad you have your art to help you through the grieving process. My sweet husband has been having some serious health issues this year, and I’m so glad to have my art channels and my die cut machine to help me unwind a bit at the end of the work day. I have always loved dragonflies too, but have never heard that saying, so thanks for sharing that with us. We lost my husband’s mom and his closest brother in the past 18 months, and hummingbirds were her very favorite. I will always think of them when I see a hummingbird, and now a dragonfly, when I see them flitting around my yard.
