Wow! Those are amazing kits! I stumbled upon this because I am trying to figure out how to put together a small kit for myself because I am rarely home to use my watercolors. This is very inspiring! I love those little credit card case setups! :) Happy painting!!

Thanks for sharing this - love your art journal. I keep one too and find it a great pleasure to work in. However it’s the kit that presents the most trouble for me - always missing something I want to use - so I’m glad for these fresh ideas!

Ugh, I know what you mean Christine! It takes some time as well as trial and error, but once you figure it out, you can just relax and create without interruption. 😊 Good luck and thanks for watching! 🎨

This is great, we had the same idea with making a travel bag from the electronics bags. I made a similar tour video of my travel kit and I also love my escoda brushes. I feel I can get addicted to travel brushes as well haha.
@LilDivette6 жыл бұрын
It's all VERY addictive, lol! Whenever I see a case/bag, tin, small container, pocket brush (Escoda makes the best!), etc. I think "that would make a great travel kit/palette/tool/etc." Gonna go check out your tour video--I love these types of videos--and thanks again for watching! 😊

I have watched hundreds of art videos and I find many of them are really boring so I don't watch them all the way through. Some people talk, while working, and their voice levels go up and down or they start mumbling. Then there are the ones that have loud and monotonous music that hurts my ears and drowns out what the presenter is saying. I often wonder if these presenters actually look at the videos, they are producing, before uploading them to KZbin. This is the first video, I've come across from you, and I found it really helpful. I've been searching for a good way to carry, and store, my most-used art supplies. I've searched Amazon for days, with no luck, but never thought of using a tech bag. I carry the same types of things, you do, so I am really happy I watched this video. Keep up the good work.

I'm so pleased to hear that--thank you Betty! 😊 I try to put out good content that is both informative and the best quality I can manage with my very limited toolset (I still consider myself a newbie with a lot to learn and hope to someday have a better filming setup after the kids graduate from college!). When I first started my channel, I didn't realize how hard it was to make videos--I filmed my first video on an old iPhone and had no editing software--so I'm very sympathetic to anyone who has the courage try this. Glad you found it helpful and let me know if you come across any other good 'hacks'--I'm always looking for ways to improve my setup. Thanks again for watching!

I loved your video! Just found your channel. I’ve seen the Superior Labor bag and of course drooled over it , but didn’t want to spend the money on it. I found the one you just showed on Amazon, but didn’t get b/c It was so inexpensive I wondered how useful it could be. But it looks great. I may just go back and pick one up. I think travel watercolor brushes might fit the height of that roll. I also liked your carry around the house bag. Those geo tubes are a good idea. I know bunches of colors aren’t necessary, but looking at all the pans lined up before always makes me happy! Thanks for sharing.
@LilDivette6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Cheryl! Actually, I found a better quality and still affordable pen roll (less than the Super Labor but not as cheap as the one shown) than has worked out much better and I am LOVING--I'll be posting a video about it so hold off on buying one and check back soon. 😉

First two kits are missing an essential item: notebook! There’s no surface to paint on, so it’s misleading as a “kit”. You need to actually show your complete kit! Not fake tiny ones, that are missing most essential part.

Nice.. but too much stuff in that bubm bag IMO... those bottles are good for storing water.. but too bad they are not flat on the bottom.. Less is better sometimes.. .try working with 6 colors and no more and you will quickly learn how creative you can get with just a few.. 72 colors?!?! YIKES.
@LilDivette6 жыл бұрын
Yeah it's a lot because it's also my storage kit that I can easily carry anywhere in the house and just settle in to 'play' without having to go back and look for something (I don't have a dedicated space to work in). 😂🙈 My family has been generous to gift me some palettes in the past so I keep all the pans in this jumbo box then pick what I need when I downsize to smaller palettes like a mini or regular Altoids box. My everyday kit is the 3x5 journal with the credit card palette and I only use a few of the colors from there. Thanks for watching!
