Good morning nina, first off all ...4-0, wow , back to wembley and.....who knows.. Loved your pages, clean and simple telling a story. So many materials and bring it down to only a few things, well done. Then the page about this special book, so good to share this, when I saw it in a bookshop for the first time I was moved by it and bought it as a gift for my brothers birthday. You honoured the book, the writer by this page, loved that. Well have a good week nina, with hopefully another win ..love and hugs lenaxxx

I love how your art comes together so cleanly. It always looks perfect and beautiful. You really have a great eye for putting things together. Beautiful. I've just got into magazine collage and I absolutely love it. It's funny because I made a little glue book from half an Aldi catalogue and have been filling it with colour schemes to help me use more colour, so this month will be great for me to push myself with colour. Always inspiring and great to watch Nina x

Nina, this really is fabulous - especially relevant with what I'm up to as well. We can do so much with magazines and I think it is great to encourage others to have a go too. I'm really looking forward to this one ! And my daughter lent me the book a few weeks ago, I'm about half way through, you'd love it. How about putting the additional words on a black tag and have it dangling down the page? After all, we all dangle in mid air now and again !!
@NinaRibenaMixedMedia3 жыл бұрын
Thanks Maggie, I knew your ears would prick up at this one! I agree, magazines are a great resource and I can honestly say that some of my best projects have been found from newspaper supplements. My copy of the book is arriving today and I can’t wait as I was very moved by this project. Lynda also suggested adding a tag or a side flip which is a great idea and so therefore problem solved ❤️

I always wish I had the exact same papers that I see in videos that people have, and my papers look like poop compared to yours so I'm doomed to never create as pretty things as people on KZbin..some people find it very calming to watch you fussy cut so not boring for some, there are some channels dedicated to ASMR of people journaling and cutting and gluing. Keep cutting!

I find my best images and Interesting typefaces from magazine supplements and free brochures that I find on my travels or that arrive through the post. I might only find one good image, but if you keep cutting them out, they soon mount up. Tourist Information Centres are a great free resource. I will keep on cutting ❤️

Try putting the quote sideways, centered, right along the spine, on the next page. I think both pages will be read top to bottom, then turned sideways to read the quote. It will follow-up the other quotes and be readily associated with the correct picture.
@NinaRibenaMixedMedia3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your suggestion Joan. I have added a tag with a split pin to the left hand side of the picture and it’s worked well. I really wanted to include that quote somewhere and I’m grateful for everyone’s suggestions, which lead me to this decision 💕
