As an Indian I hate to accept it, but I sometimes felt Saqlain was like a fast bowler. He was so much in control of a batsman that you knew a wicket was around the corner. The inventor of Doosra, Saqlain was sometimes unplayable on a spin track. Would be interesting to know how he would have gone in the modern day flat pitches, with big bats and field restrictions with powerplay. Nowadays its impossible to be a bowler. Thanks to Sehwag that Saqlain's comeback was stopped. Else he would have continued his attack :-)

I used to bowl like Saqlain Mushataq. And I took around 500-1000 wickets( 90% tape ball 5 % tennis bowl and 5% hard bowl) . I used to be a wicket taking bowler with Saqi Bahi style. But lots of sixes were waiting for me when I am predictible. I cursed batsmen who played very well to off spiner. Batsmen in Pakistan are genius in playing spinner, they sometimes wait and let the bowl turn and play at the last moment and six or at least 4 runs is there. Sometime they use their feet to kill the magic of spinner and most funny is they change their standing position to kill the good bowling. I understand it’s not easy to be a good spin bowler. Saqi bhai and some other good spinners are rare in domestic and international cricket. Salute to you Saqi Bahi.
