Rashid Latif has stopped giving brutally honest answers and he keeps the truth to himself and unnecessarily tries to defend and cover up the team and wrong decisions of the team management and chief selector due to his friendship with the chief selector. Babaur and Rizwan play all matches. They play with team like Australia and the team like Zimbabwe and Bangladesh. This is the reason that both of them always stay in the top 5. Play lot of matches in home or in gulf. This does not mean that they are not good batter . Babar is a very good batsman. But sure these people play in 90% balls in 90 matches out of 100. Only sometimes others get a chance. This team has shown a better game and defeated India a few time but remember how they won from Afghanistan? They almost failed to score 130 runs. Naseem Shah had given the victory with two six in last over. That was a luck. The real problem is not the captaincy. The real problem is 8 batsmen. Pakistan would win the match on the strength of bowling. Babaur Rizwan does not have to play Haris Rouf and Afridi.

Rizwan is not able to pick the bounce because he play cross batted shots which is easier to play on subcontinental pitches. In bouncy pitches you need to have class and expert in playing straight batted shorts. That’s how he got out both times and keeps on missing shots

The opening pair has worked for past one and a half year. But now its time to try different. Babar or Rizwan either of them must come down the order at no.3. Sir dont worry, your team is one of the best teams support them. You will have to understand that Pakistan played in perth where traditionally subcontinental team struggle. They didnt bat well. Rameez should understand we need our team to win matches not individual performances or rankings of players. Even Haris Rauf can bat better then Haider Ali and on top of that in PSL he is promoted while senior player Sarfaraz Ahmed demoted. Karachi Kings performed badly in captaincy of Babar and he is captain of Pakistan national team. Babar failed in Asia Cup and now in these 2 matches, he is not able to take captaincy pressure.

I didn't understand what Latif was trying to get to about only Pak having middle-order batters with not much first-class experience. FC and T20 cricket are chalk and cheese. Chaps like Nicolas Pooran and Hetmeyer have immense T20 talent and potential, and yet have played no FC cricket at all. One doesn't guarantee success in another!

Pakistan issues seems to be psychological rather than that of their cricketing skills. They always have a problem in chasing,yes they won chasing against India handsomely in the Asia cup’21 but, such wins are a rarity for Pakistan. Pakistan team fitness is not of intentional standards. Mental clarity, game awareness, planning are required ,in addition to cricketing skills,when teams are chasing. Unless the fitness is top notch the execution of these skills is difficult. For example, Shadab and Nawaz were the only recognised bats left and after them there are no regular batsmen . Shadab shouldn’t have gone for that airy shot,however,that went for a six. Immediately next shot he again went for a big shot and was out. They would have won the match if the played risk less cricket as they were doing till then. Shadab fitness was not great and wanted to finish the job via the easy route, playing the big shot.Similarly,Nawaz ,after Shadab departure,should have taken control,but he too went for a big shot instead playing the ball into gaps and taking the team home. Yes, cricketing skills are paramount but, physical fitness helps the player retain his mental clarity ,in situations of intense pressure, in planning the innings as the chase progresses, over by over and ball by ball and execution of the requisite skills.

Pakistan team looks clueless in the field. Our fielding is not up to international standards. Team selection was wrong. Plus Babar is a typical batsman who thinks one dimensional, I think he has no idea about field placement and utilising bowling options. Babar needs to resign from captaincy to focus on his batting. He can be a batting legend and this captaincy is putting him under stress and pressure.

Rashid Bhai now broadly protecting his players is not a bad call since the tournament is still on going ! Statistics and postmortem will give some hints on a finished game that is played on ground .
