Very very interesting. You're right, nobody talks about this. It's really good to see the art of etude coming back. I personally haven't had a violin class since February due to quarantine, and I'm far away from your level so sometimes I need a second opinion over an etude. Your videos have been very helpful to me. Thank you.

Hey Kerson, Could you perhaps do a video for another rode caprice where you talk about finger dexterity and coordination between right and left? Thanks very much

Hi Kerson, thanks for your advice as always! I wanted to ask if you thought it would be wise to plan a certain order of which the patterns are to be executed in performance?
@KersonLeong4 жыл бұрын
I've never done it in performance myself, but it definitely could be possible if you find that it helps focus the mind under pressure.

Hi Kerson. One question. What's the reason of the violin's lifting? Is it to accentuate some of the notes? Greetings from Munich :)
@KersonLeong4 жыл бұрын
Generally to promote flexibility and relaxation but yes, also a natural response to accentuation.

What device do you use for recording the audio of this videos?
@KersonLeong4 жыл бұрын
I use a portable Sony recorder - now discontinued, but the Zoom products would do as well.

Hello mister, I saw that when you practice slow without accents every note starts with "click". Do you suggest to do this every time we practice slower? I know is very general but I would like to know your suggestions in steps about this topic, because in 20 years I never trusted myself on this approach. Thank you so much for an answer.

It shouldn't be an obsession in and of itself, but in practice, I'd take it as a good first step in order to get used to starting each bow stroke in the most efficient way possible
