Thumbs up for the effort, but you didn't finish King with a super 😞

This game was intense. When their spirit gauge is full they are difficult and deadly. But even without their spirit gauge, they are still tough as nails because you have to be up close to hit them and they are just as hard without their special moves.

Agreed! Plus the fight physics and dynamics were tougher than Street Fighter or World Heroes!

man this brings back memories, i loved music in the game, it was the loudest in the arcade i used to play it in.
@retrogamingvideos84032 жыл бұрын
Hahaha! Yes, the music for this WAS quite loud and unique. Anyone who put in a token/quarter and started this up was bound to have heads turn in their direction. Also, this game was a b$%# to beat as the arcades would turn the difficulty levels up so that more kids would waste their money on trying to last all the rounds. Invariably they would lose to Takuma/Mr. Karate at the end!

@@retrogamingvideos8403 pretty much every kid that played it that i knew had the game memorized and most beat it, i think more people had issues with mr big then mr karate from what i remember, people pretty much stopped played it soon as they put king of fighters 94 across from this game lol.
@retrogamingvideos84032 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! People first played this game for a round or two and then went on to play King Of Fighters as all the characters from here were found on KOF 94 too.

A trip down memory lane. Only ever played the arcade version of it, and I sucked. lol. Visually it was more attractive than Street Fighter II: World Warrior. Well, thanks to this video I finally see past the first couple of enemies ever. lol.

Why three rounds?

Just more fighting. More chances to see special moves and all. More fun! 😎

This game was probabaly inspired by street fighter. Ryo = ken Lee= Vega Mickey= Barlog John = Guile

Yes, I felt the same way when I saw it as a kid in the arcades. The resemblances were uncanny! But then again, everyone was cashing in on the Street Fighter craze at that time.

I'd say Ryo is more like Ryu because he's the main character and their names are similar. Also Ken comes from a rich family as well as Robert.

Also, Ryu/Ryo is from japan and Robert/Ken is from USA.

@@the_busterwolf very nice! I never knew how similar both the games were!

Both original Street Fighter and Art of Fighting were created by the same people, Takashi Nishiyama and Hiroshi Matsumoto.

Why does Yuri look so different from how she appeared in this game?
@retrogamingvideos84032 жыл бұрын
They made Art of Fighting 2 a bit more light hearted and they needed to change her sprite to give her more action moves.

Can't believe Robert used to speak English back then

Now I see the similarities between Robert and Dan aside from appearance!

3 rounds have to be won to move on to the next fighter? Never saw that before in a game. You usually have to win two rounds to move on.
