Art of Fighting (SNES) Playthrough - NintendoComplete

A playthrough of Takara's 1993 Super Nintendo fighting game, Art of Fighting.
Played on the default difficulty level of the story mode using Ryo. It's surprisingly close to the Neo Geo version. Though obviously there had to be some heavy concessions to get the game down to a fraction of its original size, it holds up pretty well - almost as well as Sunsoft's World Heroes port!

I know im probably the unpopular opinion but I like this version better then the neo geo one. Mainly the music, voice samples are kinda funny, and I like the cutscenes with the fighters talking.

I like the ending music, rather dramatic emotional tone for a simple fighting game, not that great of a port but pretty good ported OST.

Good port, and not nearly as brutal as it's arcade counterpart. I have the Anthology for this one, the third game is my favorite, though I wish Yuri was a playable character in it. AoF 3 did make up for it by having Kasumi Todoh though.

I like this fighting game a lot. The SNES version is a great port. Too bad the cutscenes between missions are missing, but the extended ending is worth it. Hao-Ken is definitely required, but it's hard to pull it off in an original controller. The music...so epic.

snes couldn't really imitate the change in sprite size as they moved in an out of range of the opponent, still a good effort for a 16 bit machine though

I prefer the SNES version of this and AOF2 due to having much more tolerable and easier difficulty than their arcade/Neo Geo counterparts.

Art of Fighting on SNES unlike the Arcade is more complete due to having actual endings.
