I used to see parkour videos and think "Wow, that's amazing" as if the athletes are untouchable. Nowadays, whenever I see a video like this I put myself in their shoes, visualize myself doing it, and I get excited at the feeling that I really can do it, which only further inspires me to train harder. Parkour is so amazing

I agree that the ultimate spirit or philosophy of Parkour is not about competition, but we all have to face reality. The media has captured Parkour/Freerunning and have made it into a competitive sport. There pretty much is no turning back and might as well compete, but with the RIGHT message and attitiude of what PK should be and show people and teach people what it's really about.

A panel of four judges, who are among the world’s best known exponents of parkour (so KNOW who is best - more than a few spectators and haters do), decided that Tim Shieff was the best athlete on the night. The competitors were judged on their creativity, execution, flow, and technical difficulty. He got more points in each category that added up to the highest score overall.

Seriously people, cut of with the hating, firstly, livewire is a wonderful person, one of the most insiring persons there is and one of the most original ones. He himself has made up more totally new moves than many others! He was sick here aswell, so i dont se why people say he shouldn't have won!! Secondly, it doesn't even matter who won, thats not why these people are there. They are there to meet and train with each other and to inspire each other. Not to win. That's not the important thing.

yes people, for the ones that keep asking, Tim shieff was the one who won, its on his face book, on his twitter, and on the red bull and wfpf page, why do you act like its bad, nobody really cares, Erik was amazing, and so was Ryan, and so was everyone else in the comp. but they do it for fun, not just for the fame or to win, my friend marvin was there, he couldnt make it to the finals (even tho we all agree he should have) but he still made us proud just for being in it

@austrianbeatboxchamp just seems to me that if there are gonna be judges (which a lot of people don't like in the first place given the spirit of parkour and free running) they should be impartial. I like Livewire and I'm not trying to hate on him. The man is a beast with his upper body strength and his style is one of the most, if not THE most, unique out of all the competitors. It's pretty inspiring what he can do and I admire him for it, as well as all the contestants.

When I saw livewire perform the 1st thing I thought was wow! hes even better than before! The only thing I saw that was the same was his invisible stair flagpole trick. The important thing is hes doing it for himself and enjoying it. Why do people care weather he does something 'new' or not.

I respect Tim, he is the nicest dude in parkour and I love how he thinks about parkour. However, it seems from the video that Erick was the one how killed it that nigh!! Nonetheless, I can't judge since I was not there. Respect to all the freerunners there who have always been such great motivators. Congratulations Tim :)

Leech edits like a brute! This video was so sick, he used his silver/blue wristband well! Veering slightly off topic, why are so many people hating? The judges marked Livewire the highest, so he won. Apart from competition, there's not really much of a way to expand pk/fr to the masses and stuff. Making a show or something without a subjective judging system, would probably get boring after a while, if everyone breezes through it. These guys just go for a laugh anyways. So shalom... shalom...

@PKFRrevolution Erik didn't win because his second run was not good as the first. He stops, for example, for a too long time to try a double sideflip that didn't land. These are the reasons. I read them in one video :) Hope it helped

i don't like competitions kie is such a good traceur and is very good in his precisions and than he's doing one in a competition and bails yoann leroux falls on his back ryan doyle almost hit the wall with his head while doing the kong-gainer chris harmat landed on his face these things can also happen in a normal training but that's rarely the case. it mostly happens in competitions...
