Richard, you overthought the first example problem. You didn't need the last bits of that long problem, you just needed that it took them 43 mins. and 12 secs. (43.2 mins.) to climb 3/4 of the mountain. So, you divide 43.2 mins. by 4 to find out the last 1/4 of the mountain them multiply by 4 to get the same answer but quicker.

Soo, if i found this problem in FTW, and I had the maximum 120 seconds, or 2 minutes, how would I be able to answer this in 5 minutes, like you did? Also, if he gets off the train bridge, where does he end up? And, if it takes 20 seconds to get good judgement on which way to go, wouldn't the train already be here?

You: But seriously don't try this at home. Me: I don't have a train bridge or a train at home so I can't do it!!!

you said that you divide by two, but it's supposed to be dividing by three.

wait, just wondering. If they climbed up the whole mountain at the same rate, how is it possible that they went a quarter of it taking a different amount of time as a different quarter of it. This is almost as bad as some of the mu alpha theta problems for calculus.
@Jay-6296 жыл бұрын
That’s like saying that because it took me 2 minutes for one quarter, 3 minutes for a second, and 2.5 minutes for each of the rest, then it doesn’t add up to the same as 2.5+2.5+2.5+2.5. Both equal 10.
