Magnificent. Even in high areas that are not visible, they create very detailed carvings and paintings.

This video (and the early middle ages) is one of the best series I’ve seen in many years. Well done! An excellent introduction and summary on the high middle ages that’s easily understandable, covering art and architecture, religious and secular, with excellent location footage. Even the choice of music was appropriate and and drew us into the age. My mother and I just watched this video this afternoon and we enjoyed it. Thank you Rick.

It's a very nice view of the magnificent cathedral ! Sir, i feel, whether it is the gospels of Christanity or the tales of Hindu mythology all gives us an idea of the time and people of a certain era when we were not born on this earth. Therefore it teaches us many good and bad things which might have happened in the past. Thus, we learn from our past, experience the present and look forward to the future which is again a product of our present circumstances. The main aim of our life is to live with proper dignity, love and respect for the mankind and have empathy for all the living creatures and have complete faith and devotion in One Supreme Energy that governs this universe !😊

In San Francisco, the Grace Church gothic has an altar that faces West.

That’s San Francisco for you. They do everything backwards.

Not sure about this, but maybe from the US West Coast the distance to Jerusalem is shorter when you face west rather than east.

The audience faces to the West in Grace Church San Francisco. The Altar is on the West end of this church.

Love the people as a cathedral. But if you think about it, isn’t that what the church really is?
