This is still the best lightsaber fight I've ever seen. The Hi brothers are so good that they do motion capture for some Star Wars videogames after making this. what really makes this good is that they really look like they are trying to kill each other.

I watched this for the first time in 2005 or 2006. As a young man this was possibly the single greatest thing to me. A glorious mix of all my favourite things, The Matrix meets Chinese martial arts choreography meets Star Wars. And damn it, this still hold up. Fantastic then as it is now.

I didn’t recall the video and audio quality being as (by today’s standards) terrible as it is, but... honestly, what could expect back in 2002. Most people didn’t even have any kind of camera. These two guys took what they could and created possibly the greatest light saber fight of all times.

The sad thing is is that the letter to Sarah at the beginning was a real letter by a Civil War Major named Sullivan Ballou, that was the last letter he wrote to his love, two weeks later Sullivan died at the First Battle of Manassas (aka First battle of Bull Run) the first official battle (besides Fort Sumter) of the American Civil War
