This song hits me so much and it’s much more after his passing, his vocal performance involves so much elements and youthfulness is expressed in unconscious way, I perceive Brent as an artist who created his own world, we are so honored that we can step into his world.

B.C.'s Brent Carver - star of Broadway, West End and Stratford Festival - dead at 68 www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/b-c-s-brent-carver-star-of-broadway-west-end-and-stratford-festival-dead-at-68-1.5677290 This video was as part of a songbook series that Art of Time Ensemble presents featuring performers like Brent who choose repertoire that is set to arrangements by some of Canada's top composer/arrangers. Brent memorized the entire song list he sang, saying that for him, this is how he internalizes and expresses the music. As a Tony award winning actor (Kiss of the Spiderwoman), we could see how that approach was a natural part of his craft, and allowed him to engage fully with the audience. After the performance, Sarah Slean commented on his eternal youthfulness that was a part of everything he did, calling him the Peter Pan of music. So apt. We shall miss him dearly.

Such a loss to the arts community. So happy I saw him several times in Stratford, the last time was just a couple of years ago in Jacques Brel is Alive & Well - it was amazing. RIP
