Hey Mimi! Lovely tour of your sweet little studio. It was so amazing of your partner to remake your picture book in miniature! He's certainly clear on what touches your heart. You're very lucky. I adore your garden view and bunnies. We have one or two here in the woods, as well, and I love watching and greeting them. It's wonderful that you have two tables to separate crafting from writing and fine art. My favorite things are your tablet, laptop that detaches from its keyboard, and laptop stand. I'm on my 2d laptop that swivels like a spiral notebook on three hinges, but neither laptop detaches. Definitely a wish list item now, along with a backpack to fit the 15" safely. Thanks for filling my head with ideas. Blessed be.

I loved this so freaking much, I'm getting a new desk soon and it's the last thing I needed to elevate my studio! My hubby also surprised me with a brand new computer that can handle video editing since my 2015 macbook was showing it's age. It's been a goal of mine to start making youtube videos of my art & life so I'm really excited to see where this new setup takes me! I've done the same with buying the first Harry Potter book in a language I am learning (Spanish)! Trying to read at least a page a day to pick up some new vocabulary in a fun way, but it's just so painfully slow 😄

Hello Mimi, what a beautiful and cozy space you have! Your videos are very inspiring, as I am very slowly (but surely) working towards building a career as a freelance designer, your content is very useful, so thank you :) I live in Italy and I think it is wonderful that you want to learn the language. If you want to visit Italy and really want to practice your Italian I would suggest to visit the southern part of Italy, like Puglia or Sicilia. Southern Italy is full of suggestive natural landscapes and archaeological sites of Roman and Greek influence. And it's where you can find the best food and wine. But then all of Italy is beautiful after all, so I'm sure you will like any place you decide to visit, maybe Rome, Florence or Venice. I love them all, but Rome has a very special place in my heart :) Spero verrai presto in Italia. Buona fortuna :D

And yes I loove the window, if I'm ever in a position where I can buy/build a house I'm definitely going to prioritise a big, beautiful window somewhere - it offers so much!

Lovely video as always and so glad you plan to use Procreate more! I love miniatures as well. There's something so cute about seeing just about anything in tiny form. I love the colors you use and no matter what your subject is those colors seem to work. I'm all over the place with color palettes but would really like to work my way down to a recognizable to my artwork color palette. I'm half-Italian and have only been to Italy twice, but Rome is a must and Pompeii was awesome to see. Tuscany was beautiful! We visited Cortona and Montepulciano .. such amazing and charming towns. ♥

Colours can take a bit of practise but I think once you find colour combinations that you really like then it'll get easier to make new palettes 😊 And thank you for the Italy tips, would love to see Pompeii! 💕

I don't think I have a video about that yet but I'll add it to the ideas list to create a video about how I got started 😊 I had a similar but smaller laptop (as I already used it for graphic design) but didn't have an iPad or laptop stand. To begin with I was mostly illustrating with pencils in my sketchbook!

No I hadn't even thought of that! I just adapted it from an iPad cover and made it for my keyboard dimensions, but maybe I should make a pattern 😊
