The principles of Art therapy are based on the idea that the creative process can be used to express and explore feelings, thoughts, and emotions. Art therapy can help to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and trauma, as well as to improve self-esteem and self-awareness.
For healthy children, art therapy activities could focus on emotional regulation and self-expression.
We, Darius Radkevicius and Oistein Kristiansen, are proposing a new qualitative step: 5 holistic integrated lessons on Creativity (sessions) that systematically integrate and optimally alternate artistic, emotional, conversational, informational, communicative, and creative plots. By connecting with kids' creative side, we can help them realize negative emotions and turn them into creative energy.
