Since I was I'm 12 the grade In class of 2022 I made the decision to be a art therapist and a lot of people told mean my counselor my speech therapist told me it was the best avenue to go into to I'm taking there advice not giving up on my dreams to become one

@@tshepisoonebagwasi576 not sure if she dm you but I'm in community College and starting the process. It looks like in the US that you can either do your common core classes and then art or the other way around. I'm doing the math and science first and am going to focus on art more later on when I can do more in person classes. Basically it looks like you can get your university degree in whatever and find a school with a program for your masters. I heard there's a good program in Europe but I forget which country. It depends on where you want to work and what you want to do. I'm biased but it seems like something everyone could benefit from.

are all art therapists freudian? i want to become an art psychotherapies but i dont agree with the majority of what freud taught.

From my research it’s very much Freudian based (at least in the uk) and I’m in a similar boat. I don’t agree with Freud’s teachings but I’ve seen the power of art therapy. Maybe someday soon there will be different theories to explain the practice.
