Riso file tip! Instead of carving out your shape, merge whatever shapes need to be cut out into one layer and clipping mask a white layer on top :)

I think there's a beauty in the accumulation of the pieces on a gallary wall! It doesn't have to be a full think right off the bat, nothing happens that way haha I really enjoyed this longer video! Thank you for sharing, I love your art!

20:44 I think it’s supposed to be more of a match for the weeks! or maybe the old tomoe river paper? I use that exact cream tape for Midori notebooks and my Hobonichi Week, but use white whiteout for my A6 Hobonichi insert and Techo.

Glad this location is still open! The minute I had moved to Harlem, they closed the one there! Now that I live closer to the one in Sunnyside, that ones closed too. Ill make sure I dont move to Greenpoint or Bushwick so those stay open.

You can take a picture of the stickersheet,print it and hang it on your wall. If you do It like that,you can still admire the stickers,even if you use them

Hi Megan!! I loved this vlog, especially watching the riso printing process-it’s so satisfying and interesting to watch the colors print in layers. I wanted to suggest an alternative to the Whiper correction tape that might fit the Cousin’s page color better. I use the Whiper 2.5mm tape in my Weeks, which has darker paper than the Cousin/Techo. I heard that the Kokuyo Campus correction tape might be a better color match for the Cousin/Techo, though it looks like JetPens only sells it (and Kokuyo may only manufacture it) in 5.5mm and 6.5mm widths. I wanted to let you know of its existence if you hadn’t heard about it though!

i think people usually recommend the whiper cream correction tape for hobonichi weeks, which has cream paper! hobonichi cousin and a6 have white paper so white correction tape is a better match.

OHHHH!!! In the jetpens blog they were saying how good whiper cream is for hobonichi paper so I was SO CONFUSED when I used it. This makes so much sense now haha, thank you!!!

super fun video! I like both so what ever kind of video is better for you really I didn't feel like the flow was off in the month long video. I would worry that there would be soo much footage for you to go though tbh. But wonderful video like always! enjoy enjoy wanting your vlogs while I work on art. Hope your well :) also the dragon is so cool and to see your process on how to make the print was really cool

thank you!!! and omg this is what nobody wants to hear but... for me it was truly just practice. I don't really do tutorials/art book lessons like I maybe should LOL but I draw a lot and I think overtime you just naturally get better even without 'trying'. I also like to do observational drawings of photos I take/like on pinterest and I think just overtime with practice you will improve
