Goulet Pens is an awesome small business with fountain pens, inks (and the smallest cutest ink samples!), and notebooks! They have great customer service too when I had a shipping error they fixed it right away.

Planning to go to Huashan 1914 Creative Park for our Taiwan trip next year! Kinda overwhelmed with our itinerary... How many hours do you think we should allot to this park to fully enjoy it?

omg.. there's quite a few shops to peruse here so i'd budget like an afternoon? maybe ~ 2 hours? sometimes they have exhibits up too so i'd research what they have showing too if you want to add more time for that

Oop looks like you fell into the stationery hole Lol Have you tried making your own inserts? Another hole lol You should try Pilot Kakuno (many colors) around $10-13 and Platinum Preppy $5-10 can go for weeks without drying out 👌😅 and for inks Ferris Wheel Press (very pretty sparking and shading)

i don't recommend one day workshops for ceramics as it's a very steep learning curve and it takes time to actually be able to make a good mug :)
@MeganWangart16 күн бұрын
that's fair! I've seen some at a local studio that look interesting. I think if you have a good instructor and it's something like a handbuilding workshop you might not end up with the most perfect mug ever, but could be a fun way to do ceramics and make something charming without committing to a whole 6 week course :)
@heretoday7x10 күн бұрын
A good instructor can get most people to make a mug within 2 hours. People are easily impressed with pottery so don't know if the instructor is actually good or a hobbyist with a side hustle lacking skill. Look at reviews and what people have come away with after what length of time

I would NEVER be able to write into a book that's over 30 bucks😭 I'm always so afraid of making it ugly and "wasting" the money

i totally get the feeling, but if you think about it, not writing it is wasting it much more than keeping it empty! i saw someone say they do one stroke across a page immediately upon buying a nice notebook so it forces them to see it as being used, but ofc cheaper options do the exact same job either way

Hi I’m one of the people you influenced to get the Lamy safari as my first FP. I had been thinking about getting a FP for a while and your video tipped me over the edge. I then got a Kaweco that I’m not in love with and now have the TSBI eco in my wishlist. Influenced! 😂

My top two fountain pen brands are faber Castel around ($50+) its so smooth better for drawing and art and Caran d’Ache around ($80+) the ef is so thin and nice and I've had no problems with hard starting or anything really. They are on the more expensive side but I only use inks and love love love them!

Word of warning with TWSBI pens, be very careful not to overtighten them as they are prone to cracking if you're not careful when screwing them back together
@MeganWangart16 күн бұрын
oo thanks for the tip i'll be careful when i'm using it!
@Savallion16 күн бұрын
They can also crack if you drop them 😂 obvious once you've done it but absolutely heartbreaking to accidentally roll one off your desk and hear it hit the floor so I always recommend a little tray to set them down on. But even with the risk of cracking, TWSBI Ecos are my one true love.

yaaay ! totally influencing me with my christmas wishlist .... might add the lamy safari to it haha
@van_ol105616 күн бұрын
I live in Germany and here the Safari is pretty common for students. It's also important to know that you don't need many fountain pens (although it's fun to try them out :D). Some people just overdo it and then have like 10+ pens and end up using only one
@angelicdoll77716 күн бұрын
@@van_ol1056 i don't have any fountain pens at the moment, so i'd like to try one out :) but i agree, it's important to be conscious about the things u buy
