I totally understand that being an artist, from the moment you start drawing you start accumulating supplies and if you take care of all of your stuff it lasts! The longer you keep at drawing/ painting the more supplies you'll end up having. You never can leave it behind either! You work up to getting the things you want too.

i totally agree with you! I'm going to be a sophmore in highschool and I still have boxes of colored pencils, markers, crayons, etc. since I was in the first grade (and maybe even longer). It's a lot too (but it's mostly crayola so...). For Christmas my uncle got me a 48 set of PrismaColor Colored Pencils and I was just blown away because I never mentioned wanting these when I did!

Depends if you want tubes or pans. I haven't decided which I like better, but I'm kind of leaning towards pans. As for a specific brand name, I don't feel comfortable recommending any because I've only ever tried Reeves tubed paints and the Pebeo pan paints I showed in this video. I don't know enough about watercolours to recommend anything.

I don't really like watercolour pencils period, no matter the brand. Maybe I just don't know the proper techniques. They differ from paint in the sense that it's a more accurate and precise application, but I feel like paint looks nicer. As for the sharpener, I don't have the Prisma sharpener so I can't say which is better.

So far so good! We just moved to a new studio space, and it's pretty nice!

It has a coating on the back which makes the ink pool on the surface, which is not good. It's also very thin, which makes it hard to layer colours.

Pretty much everything is kept put away in drawers and organizers, which is why it doesn't get dusty. The desk and electronics are the main things that get dusty.

Yes because the cintiq is a screen and the intuos is not. I used an intuos every day at school and my cintiq every day at night. I was used to both, but the cintiq was much nicer since you eliminate the disconnect between your hand and the canvas.

It's actually not very sturdy, the drawers do stay in , but the bottom ones fall out if there's too much weight in them (the weight warps the plastic which makes it fall off the rails).

It's too thin for layering, and it has a coating on the back that prevents ink from seeping through, which means the ink pools on the surface.

the copic marker alcohol pad is for quick sketches and the transparency is for layering sketches. it is for one-layer lines in a concept that you need the transparency in order to layer with.

I agree that you're not rich, you just have more money than your subscribers, since most of them are teens, like me. I can't wait till I finally can get a job.. Baylee Jae You're right. Even as an adult you gotta save up for stuff. Got my art supplies and computer by having a part-time job and parents who wanted me to have good stuff for college(mostly helped with the computer). Had a full-time one 2 years after college and right now just quit that job(due to moving to another city). Still gotta find a new one, but as soon as I do: saving for a small Cintiq.

Oh my I LOVE your set up (and your apartment looks cute too!)! I have a desk very similar to yours only smaller that I bought for my new studio that I simply cannot wait to set up. life goal: have supplies organized as great as this. random side note- I'm not sure if its the same kind of stuff, but I use turpentine to clean my paint brushes. I don't know if your terpenoid would work in the same way or not, but just thought I'd mention it in case it might help. :)

I've been wanting to buy the watercolor prismacolor pencils but I wasn't sure if it was what I wanted. I have the prismacolor markers and the 72 pack of colored pencils and i've never had any problems. I have 2 questions. Are the watercolors good? How do they differ from watercolor paint? And also, what would you recommend using to sharpen the prismacolor colored pencils? A reg. sharpener or one made espec. for the pencils! Love your work and workstation. ~Taby
