Can you Hotfix onto faux suede

How strong would you say the glue is on the hotfix swarovskis? Do they stay on pretty well? Can you wash the garments over and over without them falling?

We asked our designer Cheri for help with this question, and here's what she had to say: Hi! Since I have not tried applying Hotfix to knitted wool, I can’t say how successful it would be. I have applied it to synthetic fleece, see www.artbeads.com/snowflake-gloves.html. Here are some things to consider: The adhesive on the back of the flatbacks should stick to wool. The adhesive will need a surface to adhere to, so I would think a surface that is dense such as felted wool would work better than a loose knit. I would recommend testing on a swatch first before attempting on a finished item. The Hotfix applicator gets very hot, so you do not want it to touch the wool directly, it could scorch it. I would use an applicator tip one size smaller than the Hotfix flatback so that the edge of the tool does not make contact with the fiber surrounding the stone.
