I am a complete beginner who, because I am no artist, can make repeated attempts to produce a decent little painting with no pressure and no expectation. Robert, you are an artist in the making! Not fluffing your feathers, it’s truth. Art isn’t about talent, it’s about skills learned, time invested to hone those skills (practice) & persistence to keep going. All artists go through growing pains of frustration & self doubt. Push through that, quiet the negative chatter & you will begin to see improvements, learning from trial and error, gaining confidence with each piece. How many tries does it take to learn to ride a bike well? Same principle applies to art & any new endeavor. Hang in there & hush that naysayer in your head. Hope this encourages you!
