I feel like small markets are great for new folks trying to get their name out, but once you have a ton of followers, hopefully an online store would also be profitable. Right now I barely make any online sales so i look forward to big markets. It'd be so lonely just sitting behind the computer though. Meeting people at markets is so social and fun! Love that you did so well at Vancoufur! Excited to see you again! (Hallo artist alley lead here) Thanks for all this helpful info!

Thanks for always being so inspiring! You inspired me to try selling at markets last year and I ended up doing 22 and really loving it! Definitely feels like throwing spaghetti at a wall sometimes, but I’ve learned a lot.

Such a well made video! Thanks for the thorough information and transparency. I did more shows in ’24 than I had in a long time and want to continue for one of the key reasons cited in the video, which is the in personal connectivity with community and peers. The energy level has gone up there in the last few years, as has attendee appreciation. What’s keeping me from doing more is the nail biting anxiety created by traveling and prepping for appearances. No system whatsoever. I’m a sedentary fellow!

Lemon Pig is fantastic haha Thanks so much for this breakdown! It really is an eyeopener. I'm surprised that anime shows do less than niche for you! I would have thought it would have been the other way around, huh! That's really cool. The social aspects of markets is so true! I think I've met more people in my realm (artists, pop-culture enthusiasts) than I have in my entire life haha Definitely find where your people are. Here's to 2025!

I really don’t know what my anime con curse is about, but it is what it is! Makes me wonder if there are some niche shows worth traveling to, as I did all pop culture and anime travel shows last year! Wishing you an awesome 2025 and can’t wait to hear about what you accomplish 😊🙏💗

All awesome advice. Also love your haircut and colors! Also ewww taxes... I'm starting an online shop and I do feel like it's going to be slow build up because people are more likely to buy art in person at events. And I have no confidence in getting into most of them as the competition to get in has skyrockets over the years.

So upset about VanCaf as it's been our favourite of the free markets we go to yearly. Hoping to see you at an event soon! ❤

Lemon pig cryptid! (/j) Thank you so much for sharing so much useful data! It's really enlightening and it's great to have open peer references of success and sales management. Numbers are so exhausting sometimes!! we appreciate how you demystify the numbers/data by sharing your decision making tips and motivations. I know I personally hate the words "business plan" because it can mean so many things with no direction of where/what to focus on other than numbers, so thanks for the specific mention of figuring out customer/product focuses and how it relates to our goals and wants.

for magnets, I've gotten the avery magnet sheets off amazon for a decent price, worth it if you're willing to print them yourself

Great tip, thank you!! Reminds me that you can actually turn stickers into magnets, simply by sticking and cutting on magnet sheets!
