Hard workers get into game industry. For the rest of the artists there is two paths for carreer. Content creator or sub contractor. That's it.

What beautiful painting! That was such a cool project. - My business goal this year is to stop saying YES to every project that comes my way. Easier said than done in this economy, but I burnt myself out so much last year, on top of doing way too many markets haha. I love your thought process on keeping yourself accountable, but also having a reasonable/realistic view on what can be done. Here's to 2025! ✨

Thanks for all that you’ve shared this year Tuna! For me this year I want to set some goals as 2024 was the “go with the flow” year. I’m excited and curious for 2025!

I really enjoyed watching you paint. I struggled with depression in my late 20's/30's, and still experience dysthymia (diagnosis that is pretty much...the blues...all the time)-and found that mindfulness, while no "cure," helps keep life/priorities/perceptions in perspective (recommend thich nhat hahn if you are interested). This year I'm also reducing markets, trying out some group shows and possibly a solo show (i have a verbal from the gallery director but no contract yet) and applying to more serious fine art festivals. (and turning 50, howd that happen???) Anyway - i'm looking forward to your channel content in 2025- sounds exciting (and omg...the cats look great)

My goal in life is recommending the happiness (eudomonology) episode of the ologies podcast to everyone who says they're struggling with mental health/positivity. Cannot recommend it enough! Painting turned out lovely, you're really making me wanna pick up a paintbrush again! Your use of colour is so *chef's kiss*. My goal for this year was graduating my tattoo apprenticeship, which i unfortunately didn't make because I had to refocus on things that could earn me rent, haha. But I will do it in 2025 💪😤 Let's both keep making and *enjoy* making art!

I will definitely check it out. Thank you for the recommendation! Best of luck in 2025 for you 💗💗

Loving the new painting, and wishing you a very Happy New Year! And my 2025 is hopefully going to be more of my comic making journey being put into practice rather than burning myself out (hoping that I can improve in my quickness so that I can get more done in less time). Also really hoping I can move, but we'll see what the future holds in that regard

Wow! Thank you for sharing your process. Because of your pet portrait video’s and plein air video’s, I wanted to try out acrylic gouache for myself. And so this year for Christmas I gifted myself a Holbein set. Hopefully I enjoy it as much as watching your video’s! 🎨

Again, great painting, I love it :) We definitely recognize them, they are so adorable! I wish you a wonderful new year, all the best! As for your question, on my part, I plan on launching my website for 2025, with Print on demand at first, but later in the year I plan on printing myself too. A lot of stationary and some jewelery (mostly earrings) too! Happy New Year everyone! :)

I hope 2025 is wonderful for you Tuna! 💖 Love this painting, I really like the squarish brushstrokes and it really makes me want to try it out too! I think I definitely have a lot of things I want to achieve next year, but I very much want to repair my relationship with art and get back to why I love doing it ☺️ So I really appreciate you talking about your similar feelings, it helps a lot!

I'm feeling sort of stuck right now approaching the end of the year, wondering what I will do for next year. I have an urge to hit the ground running but I also feel like the past few years have been so unpredictable that I am hesitant to get my hopes up. For now though, your words and advice from Atomic Habits (which I have read) and 4,000 weeks (which I need to read) have helped. You are most certainly not alone in feeling down. Weirdly the best advice I got from anyone for art struggles was from a musician named Will Wood, where we were all talking to him before a concert about the artist struggles in life and wondering how he gets through it. And he simply said "Yeah, that sucks." Weirdly that was the last thing I needed to hear to cure my burnout. The nothing to it but to do it, and literally every single on of us go through it, but just keep trying. I'll be trying that next year, and I'm sure you will too.

When we saw the art of Gabey in the credits, we pointed and shouted ‘Gabey! He’s famous now. 😲❤️’ Such a cute treat to see him show up here~ Now the question on everyone’s minds is… When will you customize that mason jar into a museum-worthy work of art? Actually, just do that and keep it a secret or you might end up with a new custom mason jar hustle. 😆 (Somehow I commented this on the wrong video before and just had to delete/fix it… I mean no, I am very good at internet!)

Mental note to self check out Kaariya's album. 😊 Semi related (to Eurovision), while I don't know if you'd like their music, I think you might like Bambie Thug's style. Would recommend watching their live performance of Doomsday Blue from the semifinals. Thanks for sharing your art, life, and thoughts!

I love love love how copic looks but... their fugitive nature makes me hesitate to use them in any type of serious application. The acrea being acrylic has better light-fastness so I am thinking of trying them. Do you think you'd use the white or just use white gouache? (Eurovision.... I love the wild songs from scandinavia. do you know the wolf banana song? 😆)
@ArtbyTuna12 күн бұрын
Ah I see what you mean! Yes, Copic markers are much better for sketches and impermanent art. I think truly I wouldn’t really use the Acrea, but sometimes I do find an application for a material after the fact - for example, I didn’t like coloured pencil for years, but now I do. (And yes Give that Wolf a Banana!! 🤣 I love quality comedy music, eurovision always provides)

I signed up for every kind of market under the sun this year ( 2 to four every month) It was very tiring - but useful in finding what sort of events include my audience and what don't- and help me be more selective next year. I hope your experiences have helped you in that regard too- have a happy, peaceful holiday break!
