Hello, I am from Gujarat and right now I am in India. I recently ( july 2022 ) completed my bachelor in mechanical engineering. I preferred Deakin University in Geelong but this University is not providing accredited courses for masters. So like you did competency demonstration report (CDR) you have experience in India but i have not experience in india. Right now I have zero experience apart from internship. So i want you to tell me that the Indian experience is necessary or mandatory? Otherwise I will choose another university which provides accredited courses in Melbourne. Because I want to go either Deakin University Geelong or Swinburne University Melbourne. Deakin is not accredited but that University is in the regional and Swinburne University provides accredited courses and not regional. Thai is my main problem. I really hope you will help me. Please help me to solve this issue. Thank you

Experience should be relevant and the CO will assess that. However, it's a tough question on which university will give you better chances of a PR. Government focus is more on regional recently. You need to compare the pros and cons and choose what's best for your situation.

I have a query please answer me. I’m Aircraft’s Mechanic for Avionics system. I have apprenticeship for avionics maintenance and also holding European Avionics License i.e EASA B2 as an Aircraft maintenance engineer. Having relevant 08 years of full time work experience as per my qualification and my job description is also as per ANZSCO 323111 but in my last job my designation or job title was aircraft technician and in my current job my designation is Aircraft Mechanic (in US they call engineer as mechanic in aviation ). Now my question is that , will TRA accept or evaluate my application as an engineer or not…??? Or do I have to submit my application as a technician but in the occupational list there isn’t a specific code for avionics maintenance technician or mechanic …?? My husband submitted reference letter from his Mngr highlighting R&R as per the requirements. Bank statements was submitted as an additional evidence. Sometimes the CO may not be satisfied with the submitted documents.

Hi Artee and Akash. I hope you are doing well. I have one follow-up question for you. I submitted my MSA CDR + RSEA to [EA fast track] on 28 February 2021. It literally took a day to have the assessment status change from “queued” to “in progress”. However, at the moment, it has been in progress for 21 working days. Is it normal for the processing time to be so long? From one of your videos, it took nearly one and a half to two months for you to receive the assessment result. Such a long processing time at such an early stage of the entire process worries me, that is all. Do you recommend waiting for a little longer (say one week) before contacting EA? Thanks for your guidance. Take care.

Hi Harshad, Fast track implies only application allocation time to the CO. The processing time depends on your CO and sometimes they don't change the status. Plus all this pandemic situation. So be patient for some more time.

No. It's not mandatory to assess the experience with EA but recommended. Irrespective of your experience assessment, DHA will again assess your experience based on the evidence you submit. Basically, DHA will crosscheck every point you claim once you lodge the visa.

Hi Akash, I am a mechanical engineer - i approached my previous employer for reference letter but they are saying that i was given with experience letter and relieving letter - will that help -- why i am asking is, those two letters will not have my responsibilities i held but those letters will have start and end date of my service and my job title thats all - will that help in EA assessment

There is no site as such. You may just search for some samples and also refer to the MSA booklet.

Hi Touseef, I am not sure of the accreditation part but I went through the CDR pathway. I first chose my relevant ANZSCO and then decided which was the skill assessment body. In my case, it was EA. Also, what mattered to them was the job duties/ responsibilities and not my title. Regards, Akash.

If I apply for tra I can’t go for 189 and 190. If I apply for engineers Australia, my points are not sufficient for them.pls suggest . Hi Karthik. Please check EA responsibilities requirements for your ANZSCO to make sure they closely match. Also, explore the subclass which will give you more possibility to get an invite. Some trade occupation demand in some of the States & Regions may be high.
