Been a subscriber for ages and appreciate the time and effort that goes into these videos. I love the tongue in cheek remarks did make me laugh. It does annoy me when a lot a rifles get slated especially on shooting forums usually by those that have never even picked said rifle up let alone tested or actually shot it!! However I feel many reviews in video, forum, shooting mag format alarmingly seem to miss the most important aspect of any rifle....the accuracy!! You can have any rifle costing any amount but accuracy is what we are all striving for that’s surely the main point in any air rifle and needs to be measured at Air gun ranges this I feel is where Chinese stuff has to prove that point to gather any confidence and move people from the British, German, Chech & Swedish well known stuff. On another note, serious question made in China or assembled in China? Same or different thing?

Interesting side note H.P Maxim developed his silencer in England with Sandi Toksvig's (from Bake off and QI) grandfather in the latter's shed. They would post warnings in the local newspaper before testing weapons such as machine guns to avoid scarring the locals.

Hi Andy, another great video review please keep them coming. This year I decided to treat myself to a Weihrauch HW75 pistol. Yes a bit expensive but you can't knock the German build quality, or so I thought. I had two from new and both failed within 100 shots. I purchased an SMK CP2 Victory after watching your video review and I love it. Its solid, accurate and both a rifle and a pistol. It was almost half the price of the HW75. The best thing is because I didn't pay a fortune for it I'm less worried about scratching or damaging it, I just get enjoyment from using it. Keep up the good work.

Amazing video on what can be source of controversy Chinese guns it's bit like being 177 v 22 every body has favoured caliber I have only ever had smk work brilliant as entry level and is great for budget shooting but what you have keep in mind is you only get what you pay for also if you climbing around in a farm shooting rats or teaching a young shooter the stock will get bashed its OK but would be heart breaking if you had top range daystate at end day as you say it all about choice and that what makes air gunning great for all. Keep up great work looking forward to the new reviews.

I love the look of this gun ,I must admit a was bias towards China stuff but over the years have grown to realize there's a lot of Chinese company's in China that are as good as any company, ie dji apple many others ,this gun looks like a rapid 7 .i like to see the down rang accuracy on a good day. And I'm very happy with the pump stirup pump i bought only £25 price of a pack of new seals for a hills which by the way I've service the third time its now broken reason for my China pump purchase .

@chentequilichini71823 жыл бұрын
the main difference in the price of Chinese vs European guns got nothing to do with quality, European workers make 3 times the wages of Chinese workers therefore a gun produced in Europe got to be at least 3 times more expensive to be profitable.

@@AAROnair well,...there is still the possibility that, due to the corona virus, the pest population explodes (for some reason) and people get in need for air rifles. They will research online, discover your channel and won't be able to help themselves, but to subscribe,...which of course will increase your value and eventually lead to the ownership of a Porsche Chayenne. Please don't choose a goblin green one.

Andy, there is an argument to be made by folks here in the states, because we have the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives defining things. While 'Silencer' would technically be the correct term, when it comes to airguns people over here generally would want them referred to as at the very least a Suppressor, and at the most distant a Moderator. The reason for it is because of the ATF setting the definition of 'Silencer' being a device intended to suppress the noise of a _firearm,_ which we can all agree the introduction of your video states airguns are most-certainly not. Plenty of people still call them silencers, but in the states its frowned upon because the general perception of silencers in firearms could be leveraged by the media to spread fear, which has happened in the past. Over here, there's a growing number of people who wish for the sound-dampening devices used on airguns to be as far-removed as possible from their firearm counterparts as compressed-pneumatic projectile devices are from their self-contained oxidizing propellant driven cousins. Firearms would more accurately be termed as 'Silenced' or 'Suppressed', and airguns to a lot of people should be referred to as 'Moderated'. It also helps the ATF in not getting concerned, because at this point they don't consider airgun moderators to be silencers, and hence not needing any regulation, since they're designed in such a way that they can't be used on firearms.

The fear over "silencer" was so bad in the certain airgun groups in the U.S. the only acceptable term was LDC (lead dust collector). And with the nonsense from KZbin, among others, banning anything they found unacceptable... Well, i think you can get why some of this was happening.

I thought suppressors were the flash suppressors used on rifles to stop muzzle flash being spotted and thereby giving away their position. Silencers on the other hand reduce the muzzle noise. Just my understanding 👍

@Bigwingrider1800 Жыл бұрын
The problem i find with China stuff is it works well out of the box but critical parts wear out after time. I think this due to material used. But once you have it 2 yrs later and 700-1000 rounds thru you may fine that accuracy goes out the window. Let me be fair i don't own an air gun BUT LOOKING. However i am familiar with Chinese products. Grain of salt Kids.

Going bu your thinking your "luxury German car "is a horseless carriage .I agree tho the snobbery about silencer / suppressor is a bit silly .We used to happily call football soccer until the Americans started using it and now its a dirty word ,even tho the most popular pre match show is still called Soccer A,M,
@nathanielf486 жыл бұрын
How petty people can be lol I grew up knowing it as a slincer. But recently people have been calling it a moderator or supprecer but they tend to have a accent a US accent. I don't care what it's called but I'll be calling it a slincer.

Fantastic vid Andy , id fo so far as too say your best yet , just gorra pull you up on one point , you actually said when describing it #quote# ( something like) it " muffles " the sound THEREFORE , its a " muffler " .. as for the gun ...well ... yeah it duz the job , its accurate , its consistent , its on the money as far as power goes.. and last ( maybe ) but not least ( gorra research price ) CHEAP ... but ( and heres the rub )-cheap too who ? ... the dole dosser who sponges off the state getting money ( and lots of it ) for doing absolutely bugger all , all day , smokes , drinks & take class "c" recreational drugs because he can afford them , yes , because WE pay for his/hers lifestyle .. making this rifle EASILY accessible to there budget. On the other hand , take the Australian aborigine , a poverty striken soul ,with NO money too speak of , and has too eat them fat worm things all day because he cant afford a shopping trip to Tesco ... its all subjective ... HE can't afford the cheap Chinese rifle ... btw ... my mrs always refers too me as her " muffler " ... and I tell ya something ... its NOTHING to do with being silent ... To recap ... Good points , accurate , consistent , cheap ( too some ) Bad points , its ugly , its diane abbot ugly ... Great vid ... keep it up ...
