Hello, I bought one of these rifles in .25 calibre. I use it on a regular basis and I haven't had any problems with it. This rifle is one of my all time favourites. I've been shooting for 65 years. I started at 10 years old.

Hello Dan, ever thought of hanging a ribbon near the target to show wind speed and direction ?
@hanshjort39665 жыл бұрын
I just had to get me one of these cool guns. 😊 Will be interesting to see how it preforms when I get a scope on it, I managed to make one three pointed hole in the target when shooting three shots at the pellet catcher from 10 yards, and you're absolutley right that it is a good feeling looking down that massive barrel/air cylinder. 😊

Hi Hans! Hahaha it really is an incredibly fun thing to shoot isn't it? I usually find most PCP's a bit boring but the M30 always puts a smile on my face for just how truly different it is. Thanks Hans.

Nice review Dan. You can't argue with grouping like that. It would be very helpful if you could include dimensions and weight in your reviews.

Hey Mitchell, Thanks for that mate well I plan on getting some scales set up for my reviews soon hopefully as sometimes you can't always go by manufacturer data. Thanks for the input mate it's very much appreciated.

Lots of people are not happy and have concerns as it’s a bit of a lottery if you get a good one or one that’s not working as it should, quality control is the problem, but with some work and refinement this would make a world of difference. I wonder if they are going to make a Mk 2 and sort all the problems out that some are experiencing, the current rifle just needs a little magic and work, iv seen new ones only recently and they seem ok, so I’m thinking they had problems with the first few batches and did a little work on the later ones, or like I said it’s a lottery if you get a bad one, still a great concept and great looking rifle, once I’m done with the one I’m working on I will put up on my channel explaining what to do to make it better.

I've recently bought one on your review after watching big dan do a video that left me not knowing if I should ...I did infect take the leap ...I have the same set up as the video including cv scope ...I found a small leak on the decompression value but the RFD has agreed to swap it for another one as it is a commen factory fault ...am hoping my new one will be ok and have no leaks but I really like the concept of the gun and looks it feels like a bore hunting gun lol
@bigdansairguns834 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott. I'm sorry to hear about your M30 having a leak issue, they're a funky gun to shoulder aren't they? The barrel seems to go on for eternity! I hope you have fun with the replacement mate and let me know how you get on with it. All the best mate.

What mount do you use with your milbro cv scope dan the mount that came with it doent seem to be the best when.. I line them back to cak ther are off slightly therefore my scope is out
@bigdansairguns834 жыл бұрын
@@scottnightingale7235 Hi Scott, I just use the standard mounts that came with the Clearviews but it definitely sounds like there's a problem with yours. If you want a better quality set of mounts the Sportsmatch mounts are pretty good alongside the Richter Optik mounts. Sorry to hear about the issues with the mounts Scott, you could also get your RFD to get in touch with SMK and I'm sure they'd send out replacement mounts for you.
@bigdansairguns834 жыл бұрын
@@scottnightingale7235 Hey Scott. If the scope has run out of alignment at 10 meters then something has gone wrong. Sometimes simply removing the scope and switching the mounts around can make enough of a difference so that the scope can be zeroed. The Clearview's are good scopes especially at the price. Reverse the mounts and re-seat the scope or try different mounts and let me know how you get on mate.

Hi Roger, Our next review will probably be the Nova Vista Pneupump but after that anything goes mate. I'll crack on to it as soon as I can for you. Thanks Roger, is there any particular test you would like us to do on the rifle or stick to the standard routine? Cheers mate.

A very unique rifle indeed, but for a rifle costing £500 ish a lot of quality control problems, go and have a look a Giles review on the air gun gear show ,and then make a judgement call to whether its a good buy or not 😁
@AirgunGearShow5 жыл бұрын
@@bigdansairguns83 Actually I spent £500 of my own money to try the gun, because I wanted to try one as an airgun lover, I had to rebuild it. As I showed in my review. I also filmed with my own money a version of the PP700 which I loved. Therefore your closing paragraph is rather insulting. But then I am sure you have been told another story. Giles
@bigdansairguns835 жыл бұрын
@@AirgunGearShow Hi Giles, thanks for your response and I appreciate the fact that you listed the issues you had with your M30 if they were genuine. My point however which still stands which is largely echoed throughout the entire shooting community is that whilst you rightfully highlighted the issues with the M30 to my knowledge I've yet to see you do the same to any other air rifle.. especially considering that quite a few that you've reviewed have a very colourful history regarding their reliability, and considering your past with SMK (which I cannot blame you for if what you say is true and I'd defend that straight in front of SMK) I don't think anyone could be blamed for thinking that you was especially harsh on the SMK imported product. Thanks Giles and keep up the great reviews.

I have a rotex and I have an m30.... since I got the m30 my rotex has been shelved. I use both for pest control and I cant fault them really. My buddy picked 1 up too and other than the fact his had been a display 1 and was stood up for a long period of time and had dried out he went on to use it with out giving it a good clean or lubricating the bolt the bolt then broke and had to be returned for repairs. Try to find a regulated air rifle for the price of 1 of these
@bigdansairguns836 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry to hear that about your mate's bolt mate but yeah the M30 is an impressive rifle! I love the barrel/cylinder setup and the shot count is another massive bonus as well. They actually handle really well considering their length don't they?
@roovioroovio10096 жыл бұрын
@@bigdansairguns83 Yeah it's actually really well balanced, I couldn't believe how light it was either, it loves a h&n pellet too which I was happy about (had loads of various pellets from h?n) It's a bloody good rifle for the price, I've struggled to find a regulated rifle any where near the price of it either. I've used mine for pest control and to hunt with and it is plenty capable to both

Hi Dan a great review,i actually bought one of these back in April,since traded in,the concept was brilliant,the finished product not so good,the fit & finish was very poor for what SMK charge for these Rifle's,quality control doesn't seem to be in SMK's business model
