Thanks for sharing, I was lucky enough to see John in concert a couple of times a few years before his death after accidently stumbling across his music, Im so glad I did as he was spellbinding to watch and listen to. I still listen to him today.

I didn't know John Martyn until today. I was born in 1964 and until today I hadn't heard of John Martyn but through this documentary I learned almost everything... but the "almost" is always missing for the magic of inquiry to play its part. This indagation of that "almost" that will never be discovered will be John Martyn's hallmark. Artfrob, thank you.

Fascinating, frustrating, magnificent and witless. Colin Farrell must do the biopic. God I love his music, his voice, his soul, on full display.

John Martyn was so energetic and full of fun and humour, not just angst Someone we Scots would refer to as 'hallirackit' Beverley, not an ounce of humour, going by this interview How did they fit for so long, I do wonder

The lovely John.. I went to see him in Belfast in the 1980s.admission was the princely sum of three pounds and fifty pence. I still have the ticket, and the memories.

Wonderful music but the guy is like an extra from the Goon show. I enjoyed the stuff about him but nowadays in Ireland was painful. A proper documentary and exploration of his music would have been preferable to me. Didn't watch it all, cringe prevented it.
