I love full q build on Arthas. Point-and-click damage is pretty rare in HotS, and people dont expect it. Furthermore, as a tank mashed up against their front line you will be in range of their assassins. Guaranteed damage on otherwise hard to hit squishies like li ming or tracer that ALSO heals you? I love it!

My favorite build with Arthas is: trait at 1, Q at 4 and 7, Sindragossa, Trait at 13 and 16, and then Sindragossa upgrade. So, a bit of a Q/Trait hybrid, and I agree with your Q comments. It's great damage and really good self-sustain.

His Q build is a sleeper. You can out trade ming at range with it, Its a poke that nukes and heals you thats a point and click, it has very good range, and it can be used to kill secure, and has incredible mana sustain. I did his Q build once just to try it out, never ever went back the the other two builds since. Unless they changed it recently, I havent played for nearly a year.

I always love this build because it can still net you top damage xd. I usually go Army because you're sustain becomes nutty and it's really funny seeing just how much you can live through.

I just go with the ghouls for the simple fact I like to be as difficult to kill as possible for an enemy team when I go Auto Attack build. "Oh I can heal myself with Q...and auto attacks heal me with my increasing auto attack speed due to w talents...oh by the way did you know I can heal with my ghouls?" 'Scream of rage from most Heroes that try to solo fight me or teams that just can't unload enough damage fast enough' "Hue hue hue hue hue" Doesn't save you at all from high damage comps though....or if your team won't follow up you being a a massive distraction. And we all know Anna screws over any sustain thing with her grenade so no need to bring her up. But hey what hero can survive having such a team?

I've got a really high win rate build I use for Arthas 100% of the time 1, trait quest for the mana gain 4, death lord for the free poke and at later levels increased healing 7, immortal coil because the extra healing pairs nicely 10/20 doesn't really matter, I prefer sindragosa but the ghouls can be amazing if you want to run at enemies and cause dirsuption 13, frost strike for the cooldown reduction 16, frostmourne feeds for the ability to burst people down and never have to think about mana again This build is great for when you don't want to have to rely on your team and you can just run at them and be hard to remove, yet if ignored can easily out damage and out heal groups of heroes. Not the best for protecting

I have a third option that i use if enemy team is heavily focused on ranged attacks: coil arthas. It works surprisingly well against them.

I don't usually play Arthas unless I'm playing Ranked, no-one has picked a tank for the team, and the enemy has gone for lots of auto-attackers, in which case I always go for the E talents. In those rare instances, it just about always works out as a win. Niche, in my opinion, but very potent at what I use him for.

Eh, Butcher isn't the only one. He's good at shutting down Illidan and Varian, as showcased here, and can be pretty decent at making Tracer's life miserable if she's too liberal with her Blinks and Recall. Any melee though can be in for a rough time against Arthas with just the movement slow, never mind the attack speed slow.

@@azurblueknights There are 29 ranged assassins that make minced meat of his cheeks when played with caution,, while only about 4 or 5 melee basic attackers that will probably just go side lane when he shows up. I just wish he had a small speed boost talent of some sort. He's a good Lucio pairing for this reason, but people just run away from you otherwise. I like playing him, but he makes me feel like a masocist.

At first I thought Raynor was feeding, but then I saw Anuburak's numbers... and then Li Ming's numbers... wtf happened to make this a close game? I need smart people to break it down for me!

From what I can tell, the other team was winning the meta game and Pally's team couldn't do jack without both him and Caine throwing down the CC. They also had Zagara trying to split push constantly so almost never there for the team fights while this map isn't exactly great for split pushing. So they had Pally being a tank/bruiser peeling, Cain trying to lock everything down, two ranged dps that can (and do a couple of times) get caught out and deleted, and Zagara MIA for most of the game.

7-1 now following your builds. This was the stupidest game of HotS I've ever played. The enemy team was 4 levels up with a keep down and us with no forts down but would not take an objective to end the game then they lost a team fight and that let us snowball into winning a few more team fights, catch up on levels, and eventually win. I had 12 deaths and teammates had 11 and 10 deaths. I don't like this hero much so I'll take the win and run
