fall on Bolder Rock sideways.. my wrist was badly shattered...had plate put in... i get stiffness.. in wrist area..but grateful as l can use my hand ... in all... Huh, so that's how they do it. I've been searching for all these videos to see how all of the plates I have were installed. Haha. Sometimes I wish they put in some grease zerks.

I had it Aug 2021 ;) Still wearing a brace and wrap around my arm and hand. It's been about 7 days and I can use my hand again. I had a dislocated wrist and hand with a broken radius. Motorcycle accident. I cannot wait to get this wrap off of my hand so I can use it better. I was wondering if you still have any type of pain after a year?

@@johnfair62 it depends on how it'll heal,sometimes fractures won't heal like it used to be or worst you can't use your wrist again. But definitely after a year you can do gym classes like weight lifting, we have the same issue I just got surgery this August 2 and just hoping it'll heal normally.

I have same problem before one and half mont my left side distal radius littely broken fron left side So i go hospital they take x ray and put only bandage because of insurance card and told me that after 6 week come again But i remove bandage after 3 week.. Now one and half month later my left hand can't lift more the half kg load. Are you suggest me that now what can i do...

should I remove titanium plate once it is fully healed?? screw used will create hole in bone if I remove it ??

only if your tendons get irritated by it. Otherwise not worth it.

I have had this done this past august ... in one year i go to get plate and screws removed.What should i expected?

It should all be pretty straightforward I would hope. Usually a soft bandage for a few days and allow immediate movement.

Thanks for replying back ,Well he also did a carpal tunnal release. My bones are soft I am 51yrs old So i am scared about how well i will heal when the plate comes out... I have all movement back thus far. And i was more like a soft cast for 2 weeks. it took about a month for complete movement to come back and that was with a lot of therapy

if the plate removal surgery went little late like 14 months what would happen or what would be its contarry effects ? becoz my daughter also have had done this surgery last year in October 2019 and has to do the re operation for removal of plate n screws
